We were driving though the area on the way to Yucatan with our cats and needed a pet friendly hotel to spend the night. I chose this Holiday Inn since it seemed to be in a quiet/safe area and we wouldn't have to worry about leaving all our stuff in our van. Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed, large screen TV with a few channels in English. and in the bathroom, an incredible shower that could probably fit four people! The hotel restaurant is good but a little pricey. The breakfast buffet was incredible - probably the best breakfast buffet I've had. Everybody that worked here was very friendly and attentive I'd definitely stay here again

Thé hotel is your standard holiday inn. The interior is very nice and clean, but the exterior, especially the pool area needs a big renovation. The gym area is very nice and the restaurant has something for everyone. Room service is very quick and they even have a little convenience store in the lobby area. The rooms are standard, but the shower has an awesome rain shower head as well as your normal shower head. The safe is very spacious which is nice. What makes this hotel is the staff. I was stuck there for 12 days on a customs re-entry issue and they went above and beyond to help me. The front desk are all bilingual, which came in handy when I needed help to make local calls. The poolside restaurant is currently closed. If you are noise sensitive ask for a room looking over the pool, otherwise you’ll be facing a busy highway.

This Villahermosa Holiday Inn knows and practices truly high customer service!! They have a fantastic customer service manager Mr. Luis (first name). He is truly professional, friendly and especially helpful. We arrived at Villahermosa from Palenque a bit stressed because my husband had accidentally left his wallet in Palenque. Mr Luis (first name) arranged safe, reliable, and economical round trip transportation to Palenque to retreat his wallet. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning and a good bed. Great place to stay if you’re going to fly out from Villahermosa airport. Bonus: they have free airport transport to and from the airport. Since airport based taxi service is usually very expensive, having airport shuttle service included is a welcome customer perk; Thanks! We highly recommend this hotel!!

This is a nice hotel. Rooms are nice and clean. It is a bit spread out and floor plan and numbers can be confusing. The spa and exercise center is nice, and the security guard was quite helpful on my last visit. I have stayed at the hotel on four different occasions and I have not been disappointed. The breakfast cactus juice is wonderful and I love their veggie omelettes for breakfast. I do use bottled water to prepare my coffee in the room each morning and the coffee in the packet is good to drink.

I went with a tour group. The room was excellent. Everyone said their beds were comfortable and particularly loved the soft, plentiful, and luxurious pillows. The shower was magnificent with both handheld and rain showerheads. However, the restaurant service was very slow, and the food was below average. I had the steak tacos. The meat was like gristle of very inferior quality and came without things like salsa or cream. I had a few of my friends French fries which were small soggy cold sticks. So go for the very comfortable room, and avoid the restaurant.

This is a luxury hotel for a great price! Every thing, every one was amazing. From the valet who also detailed our rental car, to the front desk who sent us out to try pishul and the local tamales of Villa Luz. The housekeepers who always came back if we hadn't left yet, the restaurant staff that did an awesome job with our limited espanol! The service in the garden and at the poolside. I felt pampered! True luxury treatment! The room was well lit, the toilet was separate from the shower and jetted tub (which not only worked but the jets were also clean!) the bed was comfortably firm with lots of pillows. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and a mini fridge in the room. Room service has the same hours as the restaurant, I would recommend you eat in the garden though. Covid policies were respected by staff and guests, masks, sanitizing gel, temperatures.

Very nice hotel. Clean, well proportioned room with mini bar, comfortable bed, and nice sized bath with shower... AC worked well, and managed a nice sleep after a long day travel.. Breakfast was excellent, Plenty of choice and staff are very friendly and helpful... this hotel has a very impressive function room, and large bar... Swimming pool and gym... excellent value....

This hotel was one of the highlights of a 3 week Yucatan tour. Spacious room, very friendly staff, attentive service. The breakfast (no buffet) was fabulous, fresh fruit and fresh juices of your choice.

The service at Quinta Eden is top notch. Because of my limited español, we used google translate or someone was found who could speak english. I felt pampered, from the valet, housekeeping, front desk, restaurant and even security. Covid measures are still in full force. Hand sanitizer and temperature reader at front door and masks throughout the property. The garden is a lovely place for morning coffee and any meal. There is poolside service as well, via the phone at the counter. The room has a lot of lighting, the bed is comfortably firm with a lot of pillows. There is a mini fridge and nespresso coffee maker. The bathroom has a separate toilet from the shower and jetted tub (which worked very well and was also clean when the jets came on!) This is definitely a luxury hotel, with a surprisingly affordable price.

This was a luxurious hotel for a really great price. The room was huge and looked over a quiet courtyard (I could see where it might be noisy depending on an event like a wedding etc). The pool was small but tucked away into a tranquil corner with the spa. The reception was amazingly helpful and friendly and room service was doable in terms of price. Location-wise the hotel is kind of a bit far from the main attractions on foot, but also doable in non- rainy season. We did find some good restaurants just around the corner and the area was very safe.

This is a good hotel for having a goodnight sleep, the beds are very comfortable. There aren't many things to do at the hotel itself, the pool is small located in a big garden. It offers breakfast buffet, if you aren't Mexican consider it serves Mexican breakfast: chilaquiles, scrambled eggs, fried beans. You can also have the typical continental breakfast. The food quality isn't delicious -it's served cold, and the cereal gets humid so it isn't crunchy when you eat it, if you know what I mean. A good thing about the hotel is that it offers Chilis to go option and other regional restaurants. The regional restaurants are expensive in Mexican currency- for the Mexican average of restaurants. I repeat, it is only good for getting a good night sleep, literally just getting to the hotel after a long day at work or visiting nearby places and going back to rest.

We have traveled through Villahermosa for 9 years now and stayed in several places and priced several places but we have found our favorite place. It is not far off of 186 but out of heavy traffic yet easy to find. We booked it online for $51 taxes included. The other hotel that we stayed at had been more and we have even priced several that were over $100 dollars. When we walked in, it was clean and new. Even the parking lot is clean and free of litter and dirt. The lobby, elevators, and rooms for spotless. We loved the bed and shower and bathroom, TV had plenty of good channels, but the highlight was this morning when we went down to breakfast. This is hands down the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. I will put pictures on. It is served from 6 - 10 am and did not just have your normal carbs. Just about anything you could ask for AND included in the price!!! This is our new hotel in Villahermosa!!!!

Been there on December 2016, on arrival one of the employees offered us candies from the region and asked us if we had a reservation. Check-in was fast and our room was ready at the moment we got there (11 PM) First thing i can say about this hotel, was that it was more than i expected. The room was clean and spacious, i never expected to get such comfort with the price we paid. Breakfast is included, but don't expect to eat many things because if you don't arrive before 9 AM you won't have too much to choose from. It has a pool, most of the time it was empty so i enjoyed it a lot. Overall, it's a very convenient location (close to Parque Tabasco) and there are a few restaurants close to the hotel (you can even order food from close restaurants to your room)

Great hotel with access to many restaurant and a mall nearby. Provides free transportation during the daylight and includes delicious breakfast with no additional cost for two adults. The staff were so friendly and helpful when I needed them. I will defiantly stay there again if I travel to Villahermosa.

Our stay of one night was good and comfortable. The room is large and bright. New looking. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast was good. They have room service from neighboring restaurants and that did not work because the restaurants didn't answer the phone.

Passing through and stayed 1 night here The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean and well maintained Ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was also good, not special just good Had breakfast in the morning and it was prompt to open at 6 am and the selection was varied and adequate. Easy, friendly checkin. Located in what seemed to be an industrial area without shopping or restaurants nearby. However, it was a clean, comfortable hotel with sub-par restaurant but did have a very good continental breakfast.

Clean, quiet, good location perfect for a night. Friendly and helpful staff. My only comment is regarding the food, please can someone tell the staff in the kitchen that the arrabiatta sauce is meant to be a tomato sauce just a little bit spicy, my kids weren't able to eat it, seemed to me that they just threw a bowl of chipotle salsa into the pasta, it wasn't nice at all!

The staff were lovely, hotel very clean, professional staff at front desk were engaging, helpful and very professional. Water in the shower has good pressure and heat, towels were soft, bed very comfortable. We asked for rooms off-road, and slept very peacefully. Disliked: The restaurant ran out of Diet Coke the night we arrived. Knowing they were out, one would think they might have replenished. But the next day, they had not replaced it. The restaurant staff told me where to find it, and I went for a walk and eventually found a machine that needed change I didn’t have. I had two guests who wanted Diet Coke with lunch, and we weren’t able to accommodate them. I think when the restaurant knows they are out of the only non-sugar cold beverage on the menu, other than water, they could make the effort to get some emergency stock. I also did not like the toilet seat!! It was uncomfortable and not suitable for plus-size people!

Our stay at La Venta Inn was perfect. The hotel is clean and safe, the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and parking is available. The hotel also has a restaurant on site. We recommend La Venta Inn and will stay there the next time we are in Villahermosa.

Everything seemed clean, breakfast was good just make sure to head early since it's a buffet style. But the food was fine. We used the restaurant for dinner as well and portions were good. Staff was friendly during our stay. I would say again if it was just to pass through as we were.

The hotel and room were very clean and the shower was good, plenty of water pressure. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was really good, buffet with a lot of choices including Chilaquiles, eggs, beans, fruit and yogurt, cereal, and toast. Plus, a lot of beverages to choose from. The downsides are if you get a room on the highway side, highway noise is loud and constant. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you are a light sleeper, that could be an issue. The bed was too firm for my liking and the pillows weren't great.

When you first walk in the lobby, you are greeted in either English or Spanish. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The room was very comfortable with a view of the city. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the egg dishes varied from day to day. Parking is very convenient since it is part of a mall that contains a grocery store and a couple of restaurants. The hotel is located next to a major roadway so it is easy to get to navigate around. Even though the hotel is near the roadway, inside it was very quiet. A perfect place to stay when visiting Villahermosa!

Consider yourself a traveler, not a tourist, if you are visiting Villahermosa, Tabasco. I had stayed in hotels near the airport in the past, but since construction is going on on the highway, I decided to try the "Marriott" as it is known by "Chocos" in Villahermosa. It is a new, clean and safe hotel located in the middle of a new plaza. Groceries are available in Soriana, shops for clothing and shoes, and if you miss drinking a beer and eating chicken wings while watching a game, you can find it in this plaza. Plaza Sendero also has a cinema and very famous "Leo" right beside the hotel. You get a clear view of the city, you may face the cathedral, which you can see far away. Breakfast is excellent; you will find scrambled eggs (sometimes with ham), cooked chicken with a special sauce (yes, this is a breakfast food in Mexico), refried beans with yummy cheese, yogurt, cereal, traditional Mexican bread, milk, coffee, juice, etc. Also, self-service laundromat and dry-cleaning are available. The rooms are very clean, the lobby is spacious and the people are friendly. I hope the Marriott keeps it up. I loved it.

The hotel was good. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was awesome so good totally recommend. The staff were friendly and professional. In these times we understand not all amenities are avliable however there was only one small bottle of water presented in the room. We had to order takeaway since there was no restaurant and no room service. We understand the lack of the restaurant but room service probably should be avliable. Apart from that we ordered a dominoes pizza. Just insure you get to the hotel before the local takeaway places close otherwise you'll go hungry. The hotel was clean and very professional. Would stay here again it served its purpose. Regarding covid, the hotel had in place all the required measurements implemented, we felt safe.

From the moment you walk through the door, you feel like you are being welcomed home. Staff was always helpful, friendly and never too busy to answer a question and chat. For non Spanish speakers like us, it was very easy to communicate with the staff, with some of the staff speaking excellent English. Eliane the General Manager was never too busy to stop by and chat. She showed a genuine interest in your well being and comfort. We also enjoyed the reception every Thursday from 7pm to 8pm where guests met and mingled with each other and staff. This relaxation hour allowed us to kick back, have pleasant conversation and enjoy. Complimentary Hors D Oeuvres‎ and drinks including adult beverages were served. The rooms were immaculate, tastefully decorated, and spacious enough for comfort and relaxation. The breakfasts were more than expected, quite a variety including eggs, vegetables done in Mexican style, ham, chicken, sausage, yogurt, cereal, milk, coffee etc. For an extended stay which ours was, the self-service laundromat and dryer were quite welcome. Its location next to Plaza Sendero meant it was very convenient to purchase groceries etc. We especially enjoyed the burgers at Leo located close to the hotel The atmosphere in this hotel was very warm and welcoming.

The elegant decor, the beautiful rooms, and the wonderfully clean restrooms underpin this service-oriented, multi-lingual hotel. After being on the road for a while, the showers were absolutely heavenly with hot water and great pressure. The staff is amazing, and the lobby is inviting. The night we were there, we had a nice gathering in the bar area with drinks and light snacks...Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and generous portions with good hot coffee.

Large business style hotel of the fancier sort. Clean and quiet room, friendly staff and onsite parking. Wifi worked well. Within walking distance to the La Venta museum (through a beautiful park). A large supermarket is also within walking distance. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and found it very good. Would definitely stay there again.

Viva Villahermosa is a nice oasis in the bustle of the city; it’s got a comforting retro feel which is inviting and not sterile. It’s location is right next to Laventa Park which is gorgeous and historic; the hotel has lovely landscaping and clean rooms, i used the balcony a lot and watched birds and sky. The rooms were clean, bed very comfortable, everything was just as it should be. Service was prompt, professional, generous and kind, communication with everyone was easy, whether with my rudimentary Spanish (I understand it but my own speech is pidgin and Rusty; with hand gestures or even in English). I will be back. Muchas Gracias!

This hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful! Very kind!! We enjoyed the AC... it was hot outside. We loved the pool area! Very pretty...and clean!! Breakfast was excellent and the service was very good! The hotel is located within walking distance of La Venta Park, so we went there, and we enjoyed seeing the giant stone Olmec heads and feeding the coatimundi.

We went to Villahermosa to see the Parque La Venta, a lovely walk through trees and plants, displaying the fabulous pre-Columbian artefacts from the Olmecs. So we chose this hotel because it is literally 15 minutes’ walk from the park. The hotel was busy, with families and business people. The restaurant provided great food - a wide choice of hot chocolate, delicious local fruits, vegetables and typical Mexican dishes. We loved it. The swimming pool was a wonderful break from the heat, and the rooms very comfortable and spacious, with balconies looking out over the gardens and pool. The staff were helpful, pleasant and efficient.

I like this hotel , last year we stopped here and this time decided to come here again. Great location, big parking , room is clean , old but no smells, nice pool and great view from the balcony. I love those huge trees around of backyard , it looks amazing! We highly Recommended 👍👍👍👍👍

Nice property with secure parking. Took quite a while to get luke-warm water in the sink or shower.Really, we had to turn on the shower and wait about 7 minutes before the temperature got warm enough to not have a cold shower.

we stayed for one night, because of the early flight and it was all we needed. room was clean, had ac and even mini balcony. staff was very kind, but spoke no english. they have breakfast available from 7am.

This was the first time I had stayed at this hotel, and I was certainly not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly helpful reception staff. Our room was fabulous with amazing views over the beach and Marina. Breakfast buffet was incredible, with an extensive choice of beautiful food. The staff serving were extremely friendly and helpful. Pool area, with bar, was first class, beautiful big, very clean pool, with plenty of sunbeds, which were also extremely comfy. Lunch on the terrace, the food was equally as good, with superb service, and helpful staff. Overall, i would rate my stay as 10 out of 10. I will definitely return. Only one negative, is the ridiculous amount of time we had to wait to get through airport customs, with only 2 gates operating with ignorant border staff not in the least concerned, and no intention of reducing the queues.

The hotel has modern, confortable rooms and is conveniently located on the outskirts of Villahermosa's city center. It's a good place to stay if you're doing business in the city because it's close to the industrial parks. The breakfast buffett was good although the dinner at the same restaurant was ok. Staff are very attentive. Good hotel overall!

Let's face it, if you're going to Villahermosa, its most likely not for vacation. I found the Crowne Plaza, very clean, convenient and well maintained. The buffet breakfast (included with my room) was really good, waffles, eggs, fruit, juices as well as some really good Mexican dishes. The hotel was a good value, no complaints.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Hyatt in Villahermosa and would definitely recommend it. The hotel is beautifully furnished, with elegant décor and a modern style that creates a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The common areas are spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done during the day. Rooms are large, well-appointed, and equipped with all the comforts you'd expect from a hotel of this category. The bed was particularly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety of sweet and savory options that cater to different international tastes and preferences. The restaurant service is also top-notch – both lunch and dinner menus are rich in quality choices, with delicious food and great presentation. The staff were consistently polite, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

Nice hotel in good location. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and modern with good aircon & wifi (free). Kids loved the pool & nice pool bar area too. Food in restaurant is good. VIPS, Sanbourns, Macdonalds, supermarket, Irish Pub, Park & lake all walking distance (5 to 10 mins max). Would defo stay again.

My husband and his brother surprised their parents in Mexico but plane arrived late in the evening and it's as you know dangerous!! Thank you so much for helping find my husband and brother in law a SAFE place to stay and taxi!! You Rock!!! My husband said that the hotel was amazing, clean and very much helpful! Almost everything about the hotel was good. The building was modern, clean and well maintained; the staff was pleasant and courteous; and the property included a nice swimming pool although the water was too cold for us. We decided to pay for the Hyatt Club Executive Meal package, but it was not worth it. The daily food selection was very small, and the food was not hot. We suspected the food was left over from the buffet downstairs. The dining area on the ninth floor where we ate was small and the tv was constantly on at quite a high volume so that could be adjusted. Avoid the taxis that are parked in front of the hotel as their rates are four times that of regular taxis.

Friendly staff, very clean and large room with all the amenities, position near parque de la vela, excellent wifi, 2 bottles of water complimentary each day, fast elevators, ample shower.

This hotel has really surprised me with its price/quality ratio. The room was recently renovated, and the internet was super fast. The water temperature in shower was stable and easy to set up. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast for the price. Close to Walmart and some museums. 15 minutes walking from ADO bus station.

The rooms had enough space for working and for 4 persons. It was very comfortable, super clean, the elevator was working perfectly, same as the airco and the hot water. The staff was very friendly and the area is safe. The beds are comfy

Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly. Feels safe. There's always someone in the lobby. There's a little cafe right across the doorway exit. Convenient, but pricey; and an Oxxo at the corner. Watch your step, the sidewalks aren't always even and you could encounter an open manhole. Breakfast was fantastic. The only down side is that the beds are super uncomfortable. They are very hard. If you're looking for soft or fluffy, you won't find that here. Also, strange enough, we called the front desk to ask for an extra blanket and they never delivered it. The pic advertised of the pool is located across the parking lot in the City Express Jr.

We stayed here on a road trip and selected it for ease of access and parking. The price was higher than we planned to spend, but it was clean. Comfortable beds. Hot shower. Above average breakfast buffet. Only complaint was that WiFi was in the lobby only, not the rooms.

It is not right downtown, but we had a car and were only there one night. But the value was great, service as one would want, and the included breakfast buffet was an added bonus. It is walking distance from a great seafood restaurant, down the street from other restaurants, and around the corner from a late night taco joint. We would return in a minute.

As part of the international chain of City Express hotels, you can expect a clean and safe hotel with efficient staff. And that is it, what you get. Villahermosa is known to be an expensive city, so the price of this hotel is somewhat higher, than in other cities. The room was clean, a bit small, but for the reason we staid in it, OK. A little bit cheaper is the junior Express in front of this hotel, but at the time we arrived, there were no rooms available any more. The breakfast was better than in other City Express hotels I have been, but frankly if I would have to stay as a business traveler a whole week, I would look for some other options.

I was staing for 7 days overall hotel is clean staff good willing to help some of staf crew speak English ,breakfast good , rooms clean . I'm going to travel for 5 to 7 days and I will be back to same hotel for about 6 days before come back to Canada. Inside room will be good to have fridge and safe box.

Thus us a very clean hotel. My room was very large , with lots of windows. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

I am driving solo from Mexico to Tulsa. This was my first stop. I stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas night. The staff was wonderful and the facility very clean and pretty. I treated myself to the suite, not knowing they had no elevator. I was a little disappointed that the room was so basic. However, it was nice. I paid quite a bit for the room being the holidays which was understandable. I was out off that they have an extra charge for the water and coffee in the room! My room faced the malecón which was very noisy. The kitchen sink had hit water but not the shower. I could hear the music from a near by restaurant. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well! The hotel had a good vibe, and the staff was very friendly! I would definitely stay there again for a night or so but wouldn’t enjoy it for a long stay.

It was an amazing stay. It’s a smaller size hotel room but for a couple it’s a nice size. The breakfast was amazing! I’d be back just for the breakfast. Very nice location. Close to a variety of restaurants and other hotels.

Clean, great breakfast. Undersecure parking but in a quiet safe area. Wish they spent the attention on the rooms that they did on the lobby. Rooms were small and underequipped. Comfortable though. Not quite as nice as the photos, but not bad for an overnight.

Enjoyable stay, comfortable hotel, not in the best area but quite safe, dirth of shops & restaurants nearby but a big supermarket within 10 minute walk with a nearby Domino's. Staff friendly & helpful, not too much English spoken but I got by. Breakfast is basic, eggs, fruit & toast but was sufficient for me - just one quirk, coffee is included but tea is extra!!!!

Customer service was outstanding, no wonder it has really good reviews, besides that includes a breakfast very tasty or you can order from a menu, food was delicious, they provide you all information you might need in front desk, rooms are very specious, I will definitely rent a room on my next vacations, very close to restaurants and shopping centers

The room was clean, it has all the facilities we need it. The room was clean and the staff very kind. It included breakfast that was good.

The guy at the reception speak english its fantastic. The room are big, really clean, comfortable and the AC work good! The only thing, no hot water in the shower but i will return there if i need!

The motel- like building design of hotel, the strategic location of reception, and casual, family - like atmosphere is very comforting and convenient and the gate adds additional security for all guests and car owners.

The owners/staff are super friendly. We really felt welcoming and the place looked amazing. Like so many already described, it is like a museum. We even got a giftbag upon leaving with water bottles and a homemade keychains. So nice. I would recommend this place to anyone who goes to San Cristobal. It's also very close to everywhere you want to go.

We got to stay at this lovely hotel with valet parking which was very handy. They were dog friendly and we stayed for 2 nights which included a buffet breakfast. The staffs were nice to me and my little family ( myself, husband and dog). We really enjoyed our stay. They were central, close to a dog park, the bed was comfortable and clean. The shower was nice and hot, the wifi was great and we really enjoyed our stay here so thank you so much! :-)

The Olmeca Plaza has been recently renovated. The rooms have had an upgrade and the the dining area is very nice. The ADO station is about 20 minutes if you walk. Breakfast was included in our price but there were limited option to the buffet: fruit, yoghurt, toast, cereal, coffee, The second day we were served scrambled eggs and beans as well. The service was attentive. The city itself is not one we would recommend for site seeing or culture. After 13 hour bus ride from Oaxaca, we felt we needed 2 nights to before hitting the road again.

Nice hotel. Reception staff spoke English; light breakfast included; and reasonable evening meals. Rooms clean with a safe, aircon & good shower. Cold water dispensers on alternative floors. Front entrance under shabby arcade onto a busy shopping street - but with a welcoming doorman. Everyone seemed happy to help.

Room and beds were good, location convenient, within easy walking distance to the rambla. The breakfast (included in the stay) was wonderful, buffet style, very well stocked with attentive restaurant staff.

Great friendly staff who were all fluent in English. I didn't use the main restaurant, other than for breakfast, but the bar has great bar food which was perfect for what I needed. The room was very comfortable and clean.

The hotel staff is very professional, polite, very attentive and attention to detail. The Hotel is so beautiful and is kept clean at all times. Anything you need they are there for you. This hotel is fun and funky. We like to stay here when we are passing through Villahermosa. There's a lot to look at and explore within the hotel. The staff are very friendly and professional. The restaurant food is decent enough.

Overall we had a nice experience. My husband and I attended the state fair (April-May week) and stayed in this hotel. The desk clerk and staff were very nice, helpful, and very polite. Rooms are very clean and comfy (AC works very well, Villahermosa is a city super super hot mostly all day long), and it seems fairly new. Breakfast was good, however, it was not included in my room fees, so plan to pay around $10-13 per person for the breakfast buffet. The hotel has room service 24 hours. The hotel location was very convenient, it is close to a few good restaurants, a couple food trucks outside, and is close to the state fair grounds, within a couple blocks. The hotel has a pool, and seems family friendly. During our stay we saw a couple receptions in a room designated for large groups. It also seems that the hotel is used for companies gatherings. The hotel has a designated parking area and seems that they had enough parking spots for guests. At nights, the hotel has staff watching the parking lot. This hotel is close to a few others, One, Howard, and Holiday Inn Express.

The hotel was very comfortable, clean, pleasant to hang out in. The breakfast was amazing! The staff were very helpful, kind, welcoming. Even as foreign travelers speaking only very little Spanish, the staff were very patient and very good to us. Everyone was great with us, and in particular Andres was very helpful. We decided to stay and extra night because of the people and the breakfast!

Enjoyed my stay at Real inn Villahermosa. Comfortable rooms, wifi worked great, nice gym and pool. Good area within walking distance no a nice park, restaurants and a shopping mall. Very good buffet breakfast but somewhat expensive

I spent 3 days on a business trip. Hotel is new and clean. Breakfast is good. It is annoying that waiters needs to collect your signature even if the price is included in the room rate! Skip dinner there if you can. Wifi in room was weak signal, but in lobby was good. There are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance, including Rodizio (BBQ), El Eden which is good local food, and Cafe down the road.Overall is good experience for business in the area.

I stayed at the Marriott Villahermosa for just one night and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a slightly dated décor but a very cozy bed. The bathroom had a bathtub and all the necessary amenities. The restaurant offered a good menu selection, and the breakfast area was large with a rich buffet. I had an early morning departure, and the staff was kind enough to prepare a breakfast box for me, which I really appreciated. In summary, a comfortable stay with attentive service, perfect for a short visit.

I stayed at the Marriott in Villahermosa for business, and overall the experience was positive. The internal passage connecting directly to the adjacent shopping mall is very convenient. The restaurant is a good option for both lunch and dinner, with the choice to order à la carte or enjoy the buffet, which features a different theme each day (Italian cuisine on Wednesdays). The breakfast buffet is also extensive, offering both sweet and savory options. The only issue I encountered was being asked to pay for breakfast, even though it was included in my room reservation. The refund process was not immediate or particularly straightforward. Overall, a good hotel, suitable for business stays, but make sure to double-check your reservation details.

Beautifully styled decor in the lobby and restaurant, felt like a luxurious hotel. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING. They had so many options of fresh fruit, eggs, meats, pastries, soup, drinks- everything. They even had a chef at the counter making omelets to order. We were so impressed, definitely would stay here again!

Location is super convenient but it is a little tricky getting into hotel from one direction. (You have to drive down the block to turn around to get in on one side of the street). Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very clean and well decorated. Comfy beds. Nicely landscaped pool area. We definitely will stay here again.

The room was beautiful. Marble floors with lovely patterns. Marble table tops. The bed and pillow were so comfortable. There is a bathtub. We were on the club floor and enjoyed the food and wine with wonderful service. Very quiet hotel. Comfortable air conditioning.

In July this year I spent 10 days at Hotel Plaza Independencia whilst visiting family and friends in Villahermosa. My double bed was most comfortable and I valued that as everyday I spent there was so busy and half of the time temperatures were in the forty degrees mark. My days were hot in temperature and highly sociable so resting properly at night was a must. The air conditioner worked perfectly well, the room was comfortable and clean and all staff were most helpful and polite, especially at the administration. I also found very convenient to have a small safe in my room where I stored my valuables. Wi-Fi worked very well most of the time and the location is great, as I could walk to the city centre to enjoy the atmosphere of Plaza de Armas and Zona Luz. I had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant only once however it was good and fairly priced. At 57 Australian dollars a night I couldn't be happier with this great hidden gem in the tropics. I will certainly stay at Hotel Plaza Independencia next time I visit Villahermosa and I recommend it to any traveller who is looking for comfort, good service and great location!

For the price (720 pesos for a double room in April 2014), this is a wonderful hotel. The location is excellent, just half a block from the Plaza de Armas and about two blocks from the pedestrian-only Zona Luz, which offers plenty of shops and cafés and a wide range of restaurants. Some of the reviews of this hotel include complaints that are now obsolete. For example, the hotel now does supply free bottled water, and the WiFi worked fine in our experience. It's often the little things that count, and in this case all the little things worked great. There was plenty of hot water, and we didn't have to wait long for it, even early in the morning. The beds were firm but not too firm. The mini-bar was well stocked and not overpriced (by mini-bar standards, that is). The staff was always attentive and efficient. The air conditioning did its job well and almost silently. Our second-floor room even had a balcony overlooking the street, with sliding glass doors--nice for letting some fresh air in in the mornings, though we soon had to close the doors against Villahermosa's heat. If you're driving, as we were, you'll appreciate the secure parking and the quick access to VH's ring road. Another reviewer commented that the traffic was very heavy, but we drove around VH nearly every day and found the traffic moderate and moving smoothly at all hours. With relatives in VH, we visit there every couple of years. The Plaza Independencia will definitely be our first choice from now on.

This hotel was a real oasis for us. This is one busy and bustling city. The staff, except the front desk, were very accommodating. We hit it off with the restuarant staff and had great food and great service. We tipped generously and were rewarded with top notch service. Good food and a very quiet bar. The pool was closed during our stay and that is a good thing because it needed a good cleaning. I love Villahermosa. It is not for everybody, but you can have everything in this grimy state capital. And I don't use grimy as a derogatory term. There is a definite charm to the place. I really like the open streets in the evening; lots of merchants, music, food and fun. It is walker friendly. Watch out for the traffic though, and the open holes in the roads and sidewalks. It ain't Vegas . . . it's better than that. The city has something for the upscale and the budget traveller. We were kind of in the middle so we enjoyed the Plaza Independencia because for the three of us 850 pesos was affordable. I go back in a heartbeat. We used Villehermosa as our base before we headed of to Chiapas

Was not planning to stay at this location, but I happen to stumble upon it. It was in a great location right in the heart of the city. At one time it must have been one of the best hotels there. Now it is a little run down but the price is right and the staff was great-free breakfast included. We made friends with the hotel taxi driver who gave us lots of good information on were to eat and what was available. City traffic is horrendous-I suggest taxi service very inexpensive and lots available. Town was very safe at all hours.Rooms were clean and cozy-nothing fancy. Great location if you need to visit and don't want to pay the 4-5 star hotel price-use the addittional $ for siteseeing and food. Bring good shoes and lite clothing-very humid.

It was nice to have a restaurant onsite, although it was closed the first day we were there. The food was excellent and the prices very competitive. The staff were efficient and helpful and the room was comfortable. All in all, a very good stay.

We stayed here one night on a 4 day journey from Mexico to the US. A perfect stop literally off Hwy 186. The king bed was very comfortable. The place in huge with 2 restaurants and a bar. Big swimming pool. Room was large with granite bathroom. Everything you could need. We did have to pay extra for WiFi in the room. Otherwise it was free in the lobby and restaurant. We had Our cat and paid 500 pesos for him. No refrigerator in the room but they helped us with ice for our cooler. This place was recommended by a friend who took a similar trip and i would also recommend it

Great stay, lady at check in was very friendly; lady at checkout was very friendly as well and helpful to get us a taxi. Great location, next to a cafe and a very good restaurant and convenient store. Did not use the pool but it looked great.

The staff were super friendly and the place was clean. Breakfast was good, especially for a hotel breakfast buffet. The rooms are small, no place to hang clothes or store things. It's fine for one or two nights, we had a good night of sleep before continuing our journey. There's also a good coffeeshop and cafe next door.

We had an overnight layover when traveling by bus. We arrived by bus around 13:45. Unlike most other places we’ve been they’re strict about check-in time of 15:00. They were good about offering to hold our luggage until check-in. We walked around the area and got a bite to eat then check in went seamlessly. I had to ask for a 2nd towel but it was delivered quickly. Free breakfast is a nice option but also nothing special unless you pay for an upgrade. Overall a clean,comfortable spot in Viallahermosa central.

Clean, efficient, modern, good AC unit in room, good downtown location. Not so good: no AC in elevator, low cold setting in AC in lobby. Airport shuttle has only three times of operation and does not pick up at airport. Terrible: outside noise in night bars across the street in park. Hint: book rooms with windows facing the back of the hotel.

Very clean, New and comfortable. I recommend it. If you are looking for a restaurant and bar in your hotel this one does not have that. But you can find restaurants in the neighborhood. They had a breakfast buffet with eggs, etc. Plus a continental breakfast if that is your preference.

Fantastic value for a spacious, modern, clean room. Very comfortable bed, and wonderfully quiet aircon. Secure parking, friendly staff, good basic breakfast. Definitely recommend if you need to stay in Villahermosa.

We got off to a rocky start. The hotel is on very busy downtown streets. There was nothing in our reservation to indicate where parking is located. It is at the back of the building. Underground and secure but we didn't know that. I ran in to ask about parking but had to take an elevatorup a couple of floors to find the lobby while my husband drove in circles around the block until I had an answer. So better parking instructions is a must. Bed comfortable. Everything in the room worked. A delicious healthy and COVID-safe breakfast was served. Fruit salad, fresh juice and coffee, eggs, beans, rice and chips

In general it was very pleasant. The fact that modern hotels privilege liuid soap over soap bars is annoying but I can live with that. The rooms are spacious, they have air conditining and there is a coffee machine with coffee suppliers as well as complimentary bottles of water. The location is very good.

Hotel is situated in a very convenient area, close to nice restaurants. It has a lagoon full with all kind of animal species including alligators. It makes you feel you are in the jungle. Employees are very helpful y courteous. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere.

This hotel is great if you travel with a dog. I got a 'pet friendly room' on the ground floor with direct access to the gardens. There is a big part of garden destined as dog friendly area where your dog can run and play. They even provide a kit with a bow, bed etc for your dog. Breakfast and dinner is good at reasonable prices. The rooms have seen better days and needs maintenance here and there. But the rooms are good size, water pressure and temp is great. Service very friendly. When travelling w/o a dog I may choose a different hotel. Also good: free roofed parking. The fact that the hotel has lots of green and is in front of a pond with crocs is also a nice feature.

Traveling with 4 coworkers, I anticipated issues and confusion, or at least some sort of frustration about the cleanliness of the hotel. We experienced nothing but excellent service, helpful staff, and fairly good food at the hotel restaurant. It took about 18 minutes to get to the airport when it wasn't rush hour, so it would be convenient for a stop over as well. I was not impressed with the hotel bar because it was way too loud, however the happy hour 2 for 1 was hard to miss. The staff spoke little english, but they did everything possible to facilitate our stay. The place was very secure, with police stationed on site, and even a few were staying at the hotel as well. I would recommend this place for standard business travel, or family vacations.

I’ve stayed at this place several times, I always enjoy it although room conditions may need more attention, such as broken locks or doors specially in the lower level of by the complex. Friendly and professional staff, safe facilities, I love the large green, pet friendly space surrounding the complex, overall, a great stay!

The hotel was great for our business trip, as it was secure and clean. The onsite restaurant had a fairly quality breakfast as well. The area around the hotel was not very pedestrian friendly, much like most of VillaHermosa, but the hotel itself was nice. The gym had a stationary bike, a treadmill, an elliptical, and maybe another machine or two, which was all I needed for a quick work out. Overall, I'd recommend the Fiesta to businesses or families.
