We had an excellent stay at Villa Alma. The location was great, quiet but very close to everything (both the sea and the sights). The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great as was the restaurant serving Asian inspired food. We will definitely stay here again.

Villa Alma is understated, comfortable luxury. Perfectly located, tastefully designed down to every detail. Breakfast was amazing, and the sea is just outside your door. A perfect stay for a first visit to Gotland. Will certainly be back!

I like everything on this hotel. Staff is very helpful, location is perfect so you can enjoy city easily by walk, comfy from the bed, fantastic breakfast and cosy room. All exceeded my expectations :-)

Can't speak highly enough of the staff - all so welcoming and hospitable - and providing excellent service e.g. help with restaurant and taxi bookings, phone chargers, take away breakfast. Great ambiance throughout the hotel and a delicious breakfast.

This is a charming hotel in an antique building with modern updates. Beds were comfortable and spacious rooms with modern, clean, if small, bathrooms. Breakfast was marvelous, with many gf & lactose free options, including homemade gf breads & hard crackers and homemade jams, marmalade, apple butter & local honey. Breakfast area is comfortable and cozy (even has sound quieting ceiling panels). The outside garden area was lovely in the sunshine for dining, coffee/tea drinking or just lounging. There is a little bar area for beer or wine and a small sitting room with a fireplace. Apparently no two bedrooms are alike. We stayed in #5 at the top of the stairs. We had a view of the Cathedral from our window. Very private. There is a coffee and tea making station for self serve available 24/7. I noticed a car charging station in the parking area. Hotel is an easy walk to town square, the museum (a must see!), the ancient city wall, and lots of fine dining. Owner, Tobias gave us recommendations for G:A Masters restaurant, really excellent. The lovely Ammi (whom my husband dubbed CBO - Chief Breakfast Officer) gave us dinner recommendations of Lindgarden, an old fine dinning establishment, also excellent, as well as a wonderful place on the island Fårö, where we had gf buckwheat galettes in a field of wildflowers. She gave me the recipes for her terrific gf bread, rolls & hard crackers!!! Hotel Helgeand was a superb choice for us in every way. I highly recommend it!!!

A lovely, small hotel in a historical building and peaceful location, yet very close to the town centre. The view to the cathedral from our room window was phenomenal. It was great to have possibility to safe private parking with an extra cost. Breakfast was delicious, the staff very attentive and the beds extra comfy. The courtyard was perfect for relaxed moments in privacy. Coffee facilities in the breakfast room were available at all times, which was nice.

I absolutely loved how old the building was. We could feel the age of the building yet it was so clean and immaculately maintained. The breakfast staff woman was extremely welcoming and helpful! She made us feel like we were completely at home. I would highly recommend this central hotel with its perfect location. We found parking right outside and we were just minutes away from all the central shopping, main square and the many restaurants. We can’t wait to return!

The hotel was peaceful and relaxing from the moment we entered - with calm, classical music and a warm welcome. We were shown the hotel amenities, garden, breakfast room, lounge area & bar followed by taken to our room. The room was clean and cosy with a lovely comfortable bed, ensuite bathroom & large bath for a relaxing soak after a full day out : ) We felt well looked after. Thank you to the welcome staff and all the team for making it a special stay.

I thought it was perfect, though I rarely say things like that. Located in a beautiful medieval building with little yard, everything is so well thought through and unique - so different from those branded hotel chains. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Room with amazing view at the little yard with beautiful trees, lawn and flowerbeds. Breakfast is just the way it should be. Coffee and tea with little cantuccini available at any time. well, last but no least - I was impressed to see the room doors with illustrations from Duke de Berry book of hours. Loved it, comfortable and beautiful adventure back in time

Min helg på Kalk Hotel i Visby överträffade mina förväntningar, allt var mycket bra. Läget med utsikt mot Almedalen och havet, nära till allt. Hotellet var lagom stort och modernt, rent och mysigt. Rummet med taktrass var underbart, samt badrum med jacuzzi oslagbart. Proffesionell och hjälpsam personal och frukosten har inspirerat mig till nya frukostvanor. Kul inslag med popcorngirlang på julgranen i frukostmatsalen istället för glitter. Glad att jag valde Kalk Hotell. Ett smakfullt val och jag är mer än nöjd.

The hotel was so clean and we loved the boutique feel. The reception staff were very helpful. The Jensen bed was really comfortable and the pillows and bedding lovely. The power shower was phenomenal! There was lots of choice in the buffet breakfast - including delicious little pots of overnight oats and chia pots, fresh crusty bread and lovely scrambled eggs.

Everything was perfect! Staff was so friendly, breakfast was excellent with tons of choices and strong coffee, comfy bed, clean room and bathroom, great location to see all of the quaint inner city of Visby. My friend forgot that she had to change rooms after the first night (her mistake not theirs), and they called to remind her. We were up north in Faro and couldn’t easily get back thanks to their travel suggestions and help. They kindly packed up her things and replaced them exactly like they found them in her new room. They were so nice about her mistake! I would 100% stay here again, and I already miss the traditional Swedish breakfast they served.

We would have no hesitation in recommending the Strandporten Hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Good choice of meats, cheese, fruit, preserves, breads, teas, coffees and fruit juices for breakfast in a nice breakfast room. Well presented room with a nice comfortable bed. Quiet location that is convenient for the local shops and the old town inside the walls.

Such a cosy, friendly and high quality hotel. Stayed here with my son for a midweek break and everything was excellent. The staff (shout out to Camilla on reception) were exceptional; nothing was too much bother. The breakfast was gourmet standard: fresh, authentic local produce, beautifully displayed. Vegan and gluten free catered for as standard. The bedroom was tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and appointed. Bathroom, spotless and modern. Very comfortable beds with crisp, white linen. A lovely, relaxed atmosphere with coffee, speciality teas and pastries available (for no extra charge) in reception. Made for a really restful stay, and the perfect base from which to explore the fascinating, medieval gem that is Visby. It's got church ruins in the garden! Totally recommended.

The perfect location, in the center, but in a quiet part of town. Everything is nearby. The attached church "ruin" makes for a wonderful setting to breakfast or have afternoon 'fika'. The breakfast was delicious and a hardy start for the day. The truly most exceptional was the friendly and helpful staff.

I went to Visby with a couple of friends and their 1yo baby and we were super happy to stay at St Clemens! The location is perfect and just besides the botanical garden, which we all loved. The reception staff was super kind, patient and helpful, providing us with a lot of tips. Hugo was the main person I spoke to and he was always sweet and glad to help. The hotel itself is gorgeous - a bunch of small and charming houses. The patios are lovely and there were had so many thoughtful details that made our lives easier while traveling with a baby. There was a very cute sandpit on the back patio and lots of toys to keep kids busy both at the reception and also at the breakfast room. There were little treats for adults too: coffee and (very delicious) biscuits at will during the day and they also gave us some tea bags as a goodbye gift when we were leaving - how sweet! And the breakfast spread was really delicious - so many yummy options! I would definitely recommend and stay again.

A Fantastic Experience in the Heart of Visby We had a truly wonderful stay. The hotel is beautifully maintained and features stylish, boutique-inspired interiors full of charm and character. We were pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade, which we greatly valued. It also helped us decide on the perfect room to book next time. The team were warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a highlight—generously served from 6:30am, which was ideal given my husband’s early starts during the week. The daily Fika, with complimentary coffee and delicious homemade pastries, was another thoughtful and memorable touch. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better—centrally situated in Visby, just a short drive from the airport and within walking distance of all the key sights and attractions. We’re already planning our return next year. Absolutely recommend this hotel!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was both tasty and beautifully laid out. We had to leave very early to catch the ferry so we couldn't have breakfast on the day we left, but the hotel gave us vouchers for breakfast on the ferry back to Oskarshamn, and that was really nice. Best of all the beds were comfortable.

The hotel is well located for the port and town, and it’s a solid Best Western, upper three stars in my view. Comfortable rooms of fair size, nice and modern. Obviously very clean rooms and all working like in Sweden. But there were several problems with the service. For checkin there was a long line and only one lady at the desk, who had trouble finding my booking (the self checkin machine didn’t work). Usually there was one person at the desk and sometimes nobody. The worst thing is that when we asked what time breakfast starts, the lady said 6:30 am. So as we had a ferry to catch, she oriented as to order a packed breakfast. coming downstairs just before 6 am, we were shocked that breakfast was already being served. This means that because of the incorrect information from that lady, we missed breakfast, and I should get compensation for that. On the other hand, when I told her that I had taken the souvenir sheep from the room to add to my bill, she did nothing and did not charge me…

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Ellen at the front desk was delightful and very helpful throughout our stay, answering many questions with patience and accuracy. Her assistance definitely made our visit much easier and more enjoyable. Breakfast was a huge buffet with a large variety of hot and cold items. One could eat outside or inside, but if you eat outside don’t leave your food unattended due to friendly birds. There are about 12 free parking spaces in front of the hotel as well as free parking in the neighboring street. If there is no free parking, there is for-pay parking behind the hotel, paid for at the front desk. Our room was clean and met our expectations. It included a nice balcony which was unexpected where we enjoyed our takeaway pizza Al fresco. The hotel is located steps from the Visby medieval wall so it is very easy to walk into and from town to visit the sites and eat. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Only 5 mins drive from ferry terminal - perfect for us since we arrived just after midnight. The staff were off duty but messaged clear instructions to access our room. Room reasonably spacious and clean although shower room a little cramped. Breakfast excellent - very wide selection. Reception staff very helpful in the morning. Easy walk into historic Visby.

Really nice, cozy and spacious single room. The view to old town was perfect. The bed was most comfortable I have had in any hotel this year. Very wide. The breakfast was also really good.

This is a very nice and comfortable hotel easy walking distance to/from the ferry terminal with light luggage. It’s a great location for the botanical garden and many, many restaurants and shops. The hotel is down near the harbor and most of the restaurants are an uphill walk on beautiful cobblestone streets. The rooms are nicely appointed and seem to vary in size. I had a single room which was rather small but very nice. The bed was comfortable, I had a soft comfortable arm chair and and a desk with chair. There was a well stocked mini bar under the desk. There was a good armoire with a small safe inside and an iron and ironing board. I had a luggage rack and there were 3 hooks on the wall by the door. Bathroom had a shower with sliding doors, shampoo, conditioner and shower soap. Heated towel rack but too far from the shower, a hook would be nice beside the shower. Toilet was lovely with an old fashioned pull chain to flush, heated floor in bathroom. The spa changing rooms seem to a bit run down since I was here 3 years ago. The soap and shampoo dispensers were broken or missing and they only provided a smaller towel instead of a beach size towel that I remember from the last visit. The bar is a magnificent design! The breakfast buffet has a great selection but gets very crowded the last hour.

The hotel was very close to the port, roughly 10-15 min walk away. There were many parking areas close-by for when we rented a car, maybe 5 min away. The breakfast was amazing, they had a huge selection available. I also saw gluten free and lactose free items but as I don't need these myself then I can't say how big the selection for both was. The day before we had to leave we went to ask the reception about breakfast the next day as breakfast started at 6:30 but we had to leave a 6:15 and they said they offer takeaway breakfast as long as they know it before-hand (they also ask about allergies and food restrictions). We had no allergies and so we got a yogurt with muesli, boiled eggs with kaviar paste, water, apples. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they even gave us a map with recommended areas marked in Visby and on the overall island as they had asked if we'll be travelling around by car as well. We had done research on this before too but this was super helpful in finding other places we had missed as well. We loved the design of the room, the bathroom was especially cool. We had a limited view to the seaside and port, but the old city in the middle still looks good and overall it was very nice. Good for checking the weather too :)

The breakfast was amazing. Hotel and room were lean, clean, clean. Swimming pool was unique and fun to swim in, the water temp was just right. The staff were friendly. The location was perfect. We loved most everything about the Clarion

Location, stunning settings and building, amazing pool, and nearly impeccable staff service who were friendly, kind, and helpful. Remarkable experience exceeding my expectations. Safe for a solo female traveller. For a nightcap, the gorgeous bar ( with mixology service ending at midnight but other alchool served until 2 AM) was very convenient. I simply cannot see myself coming back to Visby and not stay at the Clarion Wisby again. Hotel crush in Gotland!

Our first stay at Wisby börs was great in almost every way. The location is in the heart of the old town of Visby and since it has several doors out from the hotel, it's quite easy to reach the hotel from all directions. Sara in the reception was supergreat and contributed greatly to our satisfaction with the hotel. Very kind and service-minded in a personal way. The room was spacious and very poshly decorated. Situated in the newer part of the hotel, it was very comfortable with a great bed, huge wardrobe, two design-loungers and a elegant bathroom with golden taps! Since it's in the middle of Visby and we were there in July, the busiest tourist-month of the year, there was some noise from the street outside, but it didn't bother us very much since this particular street, Mellangatan, is a relatively quiet street. The breakfast was fabulous, containing all kinds of stuff you could want, both warm and cold. And the interior of the breakfast hall is in itself worth the price of the breakfast, containing many interesting details with a mix of the middle-ages and Moulin Rouge!

Visby is beautiful and Visby Börs is right in the centre of everything in a lovely building. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is nice too. I have stayed in both the main Hotell Visby Börs and one of the fancy century suites, the latter of which are more like apartments. I would recommend both, depending on the experience you're after. They are served by the same dining room, which is decorated lavishly in the style of the suites.

Super nice hotel. Location is great, in a centre of Visby. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Clean room, very soft and nice bed (we were so happy after 3 days cycling around). Breakfast is tasty as well. Also great opportunity that you can leave your luggage till your boat

Visby Börs was so beautiful! Our room was spacious and the bed was incredible. The breakfast was vast and delicious. And the location was so perfect. This was such a great experience.

Very cozy hotel right in the middle of Visby old town. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, and the breakfast buffet in the morning was yum!

Reception: service-minded, polite, knowledgeable, and even a great sense of humor (I think her name was Jenny). Rooms (we had two): Spacious, modern shower/bathroom, comfy beds, and a decent view. Breakfast: Plentiful, superbly crisp bacon, fresh fruit, and the attendant (from Hungary) even cocked us a nice cup of hot cocholate on a cold and rainy morning. Parking just outside, twelve minutes to the airport by taxi, a short walk to the ferry, and located within the old town of Visby. All in all: Exactly what a hotel should offer, like they all used to be. This one still is!

The hotel is smaller than we are maybe used to (29 rooms in total) and has less services (reception not manned 24/7 for example) but we had a delightful stay here. The reception staff were very nice and friendly, the breakfast was really really good and the lack of a bar was easily compensated for by being able to buy a drinks from the reception staff if you wanted them. The beds were really comfortable and suited us perfectly. The only miss, and it is small miss, is that there was no soap for the bathroom sink. We used the tube of shower gel the first night and then bought a bar of soap. I did like that they provided tea and coffee and cake/biscuits just by the reception; very nice when you have spent the entire day wandering around fantastic Visby.

Wonderful hotel, perfect location just a few minute's walk from Stora Torget. Clean, cozy rooms, fantastic breakfast, pleasant staff, very reasonably priced. Plenty of street parking available when we were there (beginning of May). (*) There is, however something we'd like to point out. In order to conserve water, the hotel encourages its guests to "say no to room cleaning", to keep washing towels and bed linens to a minimum. Great in theory, especially if you are only there a few nights. We had a longer stay, and would have appreciated our room being tidied up a bit (after all, we're paying the service). Since no staff came in the room, towards the end of our stay, we had to hunt down toilet paper and shower gel, and our trash can was overflowing. Luckily we were able to get hold of the receptionist before she left for the day to get a new TP roll. Most hotels clean rooms daily, and change towels when guests request that. The universal "throw towels on the bathroom floor if you want new ones" would have worked well at Hotell Slottsbacken. We were left with the feeling that while we were trying to be environmentally conscious, we were giving the cleaning crew a free pass. That said, we would absolutely stay at Hotell Slottsbacken again if we ever return to Gotland.

Fantastic small hotel on a historic island. GOTLAND -Visby - well located , walking distance to all restaurants, sights and shopping within the wall. Short walk from Ferry Terminal. Friendly and helpful Reception Staff. Excellent and spacious room with a lovely sitting area. Comfortable bed with all bathroom amenities. Plentiful and well presented breakfast located in the downstairs room. Overall a wonderful experience within the walls of Visby - highly recommended.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay in Visby and at the Hotel Villa Borgen. It's perfectly located to explore the town and is clean and charming. We booked the Junior Suite, which was quite spacious spread over 2 floors with the bathroom on the bottom level and living areas on top. The top level featured a large comfortable bed and sofas as well as a balcony with views of the rooftops and sea. The bathroom was compact, but adequate, with a good shower. We enjoyed breakfast in their cozy dining room. Reception was a bit reserved, though helpful and cordial. We thought it was a very good value.

It’s a great little hotel in a perfect location. The breakfast is exceptional! The staff is so kind and helpful, loved my small room upstairs, warm, very clean, nice view, quiet, comfy bed. Could have stayed longer and hope to return!

The apartment was very spacious and nicely decorated. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was modern. The oven did not work but we were nicely compensated for that. The bathroom could use a renovation but the rest of the rooms were fresh. The breakfast was nice with waffles, fruits, smoothies, and other yummy stuff. We missed cream cheese on the buffet but otherwise, it was excellent. The location was perfect and the parking was nearby which we liked. We would indeed recommend Villa Borgen!

We stayed in their apartment, and it was very spacious, well-maintained despite being a bit dated, and full of character with its charming architecture. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. We were initially concerned about noise at night, but it became quiet around 11:00 PM every evening. The breakfast was delicious, although it lacked daily variety. It was a classic European breakfast with no hot items except for a make-your-own waffle station.

I loved how central the Villa Borgen was to shopping, restaurants, and the seaside. Starting every day with a homemade waffle, fresh fruit, and a breakfast buffet was a special treat. The cafe is bright and cozy even if the sky is gray.

Lovely little place near a public garden and within walking distance of most of the portion of Visby within the wall. We had our own spacious balcony with a view of the hotel's garden. The rooms were simple but quite comfortable and clean.

Amazing location with right distances and great views. We booked a Deluxe room so we had 2 bedrooms and a living room and an amazing balcony. Traveling with 2 kids 1 year old and a 4 year old this hotel was great for us. The have an indoor playroom that’s huge, playground outside and a bouncing mat. Beach is close by and the menu is great for kids too. Chill vibe and great breakfast.

The resort was great for all ages. Our two-year old loved it, especially the pool. The location was great, being just north of Visby and close to the coast. The views at sunset were amazing. The pool was very nice. Great poolside restaurant and good breakfast. The bungalow we stayed in was very well equipped, spacious, and clean. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The washing machine and dryer were really handy.

Everything was perfect! Kind staff, clean room with amazing view on the sea, nice pool and good breakfast! The resort is right in front of the beach and 15 minutes walking from the city center so we could enjoy exploring the surroundings with no need to rent a vehicle. 10 out of 10! We will definitely come back!

We stayed in the ocean front bungalow in the first row close the sea. It was fantastic! Two spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary cooking facilities. We even had a first quality grill in the patio! The room was completely silent in the night, only the sound of the sea could be slightly heard. All bungalows (I would say real villas) are bit different, but ocean front might be one of the best:) In the first row bungalows there are also showers in the patio with warm water. There were some boardgames for kids in the room as well. Very friendly and polite stuff. Room cleaning service every day. Breakfast is ok also. For early check out they have breakfast bag for you, just mention in the reception that you need it. You'll get very good breakfast in the evening directly to your room. The swimming pool is nice and warm. Highly recommend ocean front bungalows! Only 10min walk along sea promenade to the old town via extremely beautiful botanical garden.

A very cozy hotel, full of charm and very well located. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast plentiful, and there are many small nice additions like the rooftop bar or the sauna. It’s not the most modern accommodation but it was a perfect homebase for our visit of Visby.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this hotel. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Our room was very comfortable from the beds to the nice sofa. The bathroom was spotless and in excellent repair. The heated floors were a bonus! We both loved the breakfast, which had a wide assortment of many local products. It’s fun knowing we are supporting the local farmers. The location of this hotel was perfect, with quick access to everything we wanted to see and do. It was just maybe a 3-minute walk to the Baltic Sea. Walking to Stora Torget took under 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice location. Rooms are comfy and clean. Nice saunas (both regular one and steam sauna) and small indoor pool, perfect after sauna. Very nice breakfast buffet!

Ideal location, lovely and cozy public spaces, delicious breakfast, friendly and healthy staff. Excellent value for money because our "economy room," though simple, was very spacious.

The front desk staff were very friendly, the room and bathroom were clean, the pool and jacuzzi was a great way to relax. Breakfast was plentiful and right across the street from the ferry!

I wouldn’t say this hotel is a good value, since we paid well over $200 for it, which is not what it is worth. But, I suppose that should be expected in the short high season in Visby. Also, the free, covered parking was a bonus. The room was small, but had a few shelves and a hanging rack for clothes. Bed and wifi were both very good. Also, the shower was great! So, no luxuries, but I’d definitely recommend this place to friends. We were not travelling with dogs this time, but this hotel has a few rooms that have doors that open to patios and grassy space. These would be great for dogs! Even though the hotel was in multiple different buildings, all were very wheelchair friendly. Breakfast was large, with lots of organic choices – a pleasant surprise! Negatives: No safe or coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Overall this hotel is great! The rooms are clean, spacious and the bed is comfy. It is very close to the ferry and they have the BEST breakfast buffet!

Pleasant hotel a short wall to the centre of Visby (city Walls) located opposite the ferry terminal so don’t expect views over the water. Rooms are spacious and clean, air conditioning for when the temps are too hot. Ample choices at the Breakfast buffet. Pool on site open from 9am to 9pm. Road between hotel and terminal can be a little noisy with some cars playing music too loudly. All in all a pleasant stay, the children were happy.

A nice hotel within walking distance of the ferry terminal, though it's a bit further if you want to walk into the city. Excellent included buffet breakfast, internet terminal in the lobby, and very quiet rooms. A bit unique in that the hotel is made up of individual (separated) buildings, but all within a close distance to the lobby and hotel restaurant.

The room was large and comfortable, view on a cobblestoned street, beds were very comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was wonderful, loads of choice, ideally located in the medieval town centre.

My second time staying here. Fantastic location in the middle of the historic old town. Friendly staff who are as welcoming and generous as possible. Room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent. Short walk from museums, parks, shops, and restaurants. All around incredible experience. Would eagerly return in the future.

Very delicious breakfast, nice spacious room and bathroom, everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. The location is perfect for exploring the old town.

The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and in a good location, but, notice, the building is next to a very noisy/loud bar, which stayed open till late. I suspect this is not the hotel's fault, but it was (very) hard to sleep.

Communication was very good. A few days before our arrival the landlady sent us information how to find the key for the room (there was a key box on the main entrance door) and which room will be ours. On the day of arrival we received an sms 1 hour before the official check-in time that our room is ready. The house is located inside the old town just beside the town wall, the roof terrace is on the wall.:-) On the other side there is the bus station. The street is very quiet even at night too. The whole building and our room was very cosy and clean. Bed was comfortable and wifi worked very well. There are some rooms downstairs and upstairs too. The breakfast room and kitchen is upstairs with a big fridge, dish washer, microwave oven, toaster, electric kettle, etc. The breakfast is simple, but very tasty and good quality (cold cuts, vegetables, cheese, yoghurt, jam, butter, cereals, juice,milk, tea,coffee). We had to leave early morning to catch the ferry, the landlady prepared some sandwiches for us to take away, along with juice. The ferry terminal is about 15-20 minutes and a big supermarket is about 5 minutes on foot.

Amazing location, perfect for a family. We had 4 adults, and 1 toddler and it was perfect for us. 2 showers and toilets. The rooms were spacious. Having a full kitchen and washing machine was amazing. There are stairs leading to the bedrooms/bathrooms but there is a door you can close for safety reasons (if you are with a baby).

Perfect location- steps from the path that leads around the outer wall that circles the city, central to downtown shops, restaurants and bus station. Clean, quiet. Loved the patio/deck and the authentic look and feel of the rooms.

The location is great, a short walk from the Ferry and close to most things around Visby. Eva was a great host and very friendly. Breakfast each morning was great and the room just perfect and clean. The kitchen has everything you could need and you have your own shelf in the fridge. Small set of stairs up to my room but there are rooms on ground floor too. I loved that the bathroom floor was warm!

I had to book this place urgently at 3AM for that day. I was able to check in at 3PM with everything ready! The room is big and comfortable, clean, and bathroom is also very clean and I think big enough. I had to leave way before breakfast in the morning but Eva prepared some stuff and put it in the fridge for me to get, never seen such hospitality anywhere else! Highly recommend it

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room and hotel’s interior were comfortable, clean and super cosy. Breakfast was delicious! We loved it all!

Clean and neat room and shower. Very hot and stuffy in the room - we used the electric fan which alleviated the heat somewhat as no aircon. Very good, continental breakfast. Delicious bread - some of it is homemade. One of the receptionists, Suzzane, is very friendly, efficient and helpful. Good location in the picturesque old town.

I stayed here for two nights and fell in love with both the town and this lovely hotel. The front desk staff, Jennie, was waiting when I arrived in the afternoon and immediately knew my name. She was warm and helped me get oriented immediately. The room itself is so charming and so well laid out. Loved it. It can get a little warm so crack the window open if you get hot. Only odd bit was that there were no curtains on the windows so you could see people walking down the hill, no big deal though. My room was in the back on an upper floor, but still on Mellangatan; it was quiet. I had to catch the 7 am ferry on my last day and they left me breakfast in the fridge the night before!! How amazing is that? I was floored. Highly recommend this hotel, friendly helpful staff, lovely room with charm, great location, I only wish I could've stayed here longer!

It's laying inside the citywall and it is very cosy. You go in and feel good! The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is perfect! They have everything you want in a good quality - even tea from "Kränku"! And they have an elevater. Good for heavy suitcases! The hotel hasn't a parking place but outside the citywall is a hugh one. It's 200-300 m from the hotel. It's nice to take a walk to the nice little restaurants in the city. It's 5 till 10 min. to walk.

Upon arrival, the hotel staff was very friendly and helped us with some restaurant recommendations and explained where we could find points of interest. The hotel room was a bit small for two people. However, it was beautifully furnished and the bathroom facilities were quite modern. The breakfast was held in a familiar atmosphere and offered some regional products which we really appreciated. We also really liked the proximity of the hotel as it is located in the middle of Visby.

The hotel is nicely located inside the walls off the old town on a bustling street, not far from the cafes and restaurants. The surroundings might be a bit noisy on occasion, yet the hotel itself is calm and quiet. The room included access to private balcony with seating area and view into the busy town life - very pleasent set-up for late summer breakfast, cup of coffee in the afternoon or evening drinks. The room was relatively spacious and luminous, with small kitchenette for cooking and cosy bed. The hotel is located practically, relatively near taxi service and bus station.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable for 4 people. It is well designed and cozy. The back terrace is very pleasant in the morning and evening. The location is perfect, just 3 min from the main square in the old town in Visby.

We didnt realize its more of an apartment hotel, it's also the off season a few days before Christmas- fantastic location - nice and clean - 2 adults and two small children. Cozy, clean and well maintained.

Self-service apartment hotel in a fantastic location! 1. Location fantastic and with closeness to grocery stores and everything Visby has to offer. 3. Check-in/check-out: was self-serviced and worked smooth, we got an early access which was very nice. 4. Amenities: kitchen worked out well for 3 persons and one week of preparing breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Free tea and coffee was a great touch. Toilet and shower were ok. No laundry room , which was the only disappointment. 5. Heating: amazingly warm and great radiators for winter time visits. 6. We very much enjoyed our stay. We were given a free upgrade to the loft room which was very spacious. The free breakfast was amazing and complimentary coffee and pastries were available during the day. The staff was welcoming and the hotel is right in the center of town. The main office closes at 5:00pm so a code is needed to enter after that time which was somewhat disappointing.

Unique hotel, different than anywhere we have ever stayed, but we loved this place. Clean and different with lots of space. Perfect location near everything within the walled city of Visby. Kitchinette was wonderful, the staff was fabulous, and the breakfast was delicious. Only wish we had stayed longer.

Convenient location, very nice surrounding environment. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served partially in pre-packed boxes while guests have access to a buffet table with bread and eggs. Our room was not ready at the time we checked in (after 3 pm). And when we finally entered the room we found the cleaning was not finished (e.g. coffee mugs not washed at all).

I forgot to write my review earlier when I stayed there in May 2024. It’s a beautiful location, I stayed in a cabin with an uninterrupted view of the sea. I walked everyday into Visby along the footpath on the coast, it was gorgeous. The room was clean and staff super friendly and professional. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone, as the rooms are clean, great staff, and great rates.

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice and food was excellent. Breakfast was superb. Staff was also pro active with some extremely noisy guests, making sure they would quiet down by 10pm. That was very much appreciated since we had to leave the window open due to hot weather.

Something that Hotels.com need to inform customers is that this place do not offer towels, bedding and room cleaning. You can get this at an additional cost (don’t know the price) and for 1200kr they can clean after your visit else you have to clean the area yourself. Please check the website of this place before booking.

Gustavsvik was a pretty nice place to stay. The apartment was comfortable for three or four people with a nice kitchenet and living space, but remember to bring your own sheets and towels - not an uncommon thing in Sweden. It was a little further out of town than I would have liked, but renting bicycles more or less solved that problem. I would say this place was good, but not great. A fair value for the money at the post-tourist time of year.
