2nd stay here and fabulous as time before made to feel really welcome from the moment you arrive . Rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable . Jacuzzi bath in the room fab also . Will be staying again

My room (Cape town) was great the theme was fun. More a couple orientated room as no shower but a great jacuzzi bath. The grounds do have family orientated rooms. Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was ok just simple continental stuff. The grounds themselves really nice, clean and maintained. 7 odd miles from Whitby about 20 mins cab journey but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. I will definitely be staying again. I think it was good value for money.

Had a lovely night in the Marrakesh Suite, could have done with a few little touch ups e.g tiles fixed on the bath. The sauna didnt work but as if was late we didn't look for the owners to ask them about it. They were also not there at checkout to tell. Although this wasn't a big issue as we had the jacuzzi bath. On arrival we could tell the room had been thoroughly cleaned and smelled of cleaning products. Overall a lovely stay!

Breakfast was lovely there was plenty of choice , everything was fresh a cooked lovely , also various options and refills of tea and coffee , the service was first class , our room was amazing , the bed very comfortable, beautiful bath and shower facilities, everywhere very clean with fantastic attention to detail , within walking distant of whitby harbour or park n ride 5 mins away , the surrounding grounds have lovely views , lovely staff very attentive ,with welcoming and easy booking in and out of hotel

Incredibly helpful staff, receptionist walked us to our room and showed us where the bar/restaurant was. Staff at the bar and restaurant for breakfast were all polite and friendly. Room was simply stunning - incredibly clean, so much space, and the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in! There were tea and coffee, and iced water in each room, plus a little cake. Our whole stay was incredible, though only staying for one night. We would absolutely stay again!

Breakfast choices were excellent and plentiful. Well cooked and beautifully presented. The hotel restaurant was lovely with beautiful views of the countryside. My room was clean, quiet, comfortable with excellent shower and black-out blinds. Sparklingly clean. The hotel/Castle is so lovely and has beautiful grounds. The staff are so friendly, professional and accommodating.

Excellent value for money. Exceptionally maintained indoors and out. The setting is beautiful, interesting to explore (lots of areas to chill and relax) and so peaceful. Our room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, locally resourced produce and so tasty. The staff are friendly and really helpful.

We had first visited Sneaton Castle with friends for an evening meal and were so impressed we decided to return for stay as a base for an overnight visit to Whitby. We only needed a double room but were most impressed by the quality of all the fixtures and fittings and although the room was quite snug, it was large enough for one night. The check-in was seamless assisted by the very friendly reception staff who lead us to our room. After a relaxing couple of hours in the bar we dined in the Restaurant where once again the staff were most friendly and keen to ensure that my wife's dairy-free dietary requirements were fully met. The Menu, whilst not expansive, has something for everyone and we enjoyed a nicely relaxed meal of superb quality in the nicely decorated Restaurant. Breakfast was also a pleasant experience, with lovely fresh food served by cheerful serving staff. Check-out was quite simple and rounded of an excellent stay at Sneaton Castle which we couldn't fault in any way. Well done all round.

We loved how comfortable the bed was. The jacuzzi bath tub was of a great size. We enjoyed the breakfast, although a hot English breakfast would've been great. The receptionist/manager was very kind and accommodating. All the rooms are fantastic.

The room and the jacuzzi is so relaxing, friendly staff and nice to have breakfast in the room. There is a bus stop right outside which takes about 20 minutes into Whitby

Absolutely exceptional stay in the Joseph Bank suite with fish tank. The rooms were just so lovely and comfortable. Having the fish tank between bedroom and living room was such a treat. And the jacuzzi bath with TV was just heavenly. Superb breakfast and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Second visit to the Resolution. This time stayed in the Officers Suite. Gorgeous room gorgeous bathroom the view wasn't as good as the last time with the Abbey but the bathroom made it worth while! Bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath and Shower! Tv next to the bathroom my son loved it! Will definitely book this room again or one of the other suites ❤️ Breakfast was lovely staff very friendly. Also you can drop luggage off before check-in which is a big help. Amazing hotel and lovely staff x

The Kings Suite a total chill mega comfortable bed great nights sleep. Brilliant tv and choice great amenities tea and coffee facilities lots of storage space hair dryer,ironing board and iron. The bathroom was very special great jacuzzi bath with built in tv twin sinks brilliant mirror all kinds of settings and an amazing walk in shower over all we really enjoyed our stay for many reasons

Location - perfect, very close to the beach and the main centre. Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was lovely, good choice and served freshly cooked. We ate a nice meal from the restaurant one evening. I would also recommend the wine bar and restaurant next door. For lunch or light bites, The Yard Cafe Bar was very close and superb.

Fantastic views from both the kitchen window and the balcony, location, private hot tub area, lovely large rooms, modern bathroom, VERY clean, excellent communication! It is based in a residential area so it's lovely and peaceful. Short walk to the local bars and restaurants.

The view is so amazing, the location is wonderful and the hot tub is lovely to come back to after a day of walking round Whitby and seeing the Abbey. It's a modern cottage and is nicely decorated. Had no problem about their being another cottage above us, only heard a few footsteps and it's a nice quiet area. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well! The owner is very helpful and kind. Thank you so much for our wonderful break away!

Small family run hotel Emaculate inside and out Continental breakfast served in the breakfast room.. beautiful presented table settings with fresh produce and fresh coffee / tea. Atmosphere in the hotel was peaceful, and everyone respected that no slaming doors loud chatting and no tv noise. We had the twin room all you needed tea coffee station with treats and filled up daily. The shower room was well stocked, and hot water and fresh towels Bed very comfortable and the room was cosy warm. Deborah runs the business and is very knowledgeable about whitby as its her family home town and will help with all your needs as in best places to eat , visit etc A big plus is that parking is provided in the price of your stay. Highly recommended 10 /10

My room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful and there was free shampoo, shower gel etc. There was a wide range of breakfast options available, such as continental meats and cheeses, croissants, crumpets, toast, fresh baked bread, fresh fruit and cereals. A very friendly atmosphere; Deborah went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and was very knowledgeable about the local area. She was able to recommend various outings. She even made me packed lunches on the days I had to miss breakfast in order to catch trains! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Norman Guest House, I would go back in a heartbeat.

Everything from the minute we stepped through the door. From the Fantastic Lovely Kind and Helpful Host Deborah. She goes above and beyond with helpful advice all the places she suggested for Food and Entertainment where spot on and we would not have had a clue where was best to go as so much choice in Whitby so her help was invaluable. And the B&B itself from the minute you step the the door the Tasteful Decor is apparent, the bedrooms are so Beautifully done and so comfortable with absolutely everything you need even a Fridge! Hairdryer Chair etc And WOW the Continental Breakfast is a understatement it’s amazing…. Fancy Breads Different Cereals home made jams & Honey & Fresh Fruit and Yoghurt ( the Coconut Yoghurt is to die for) Croissants & Crumpets Juice Tea & Coffee and presented so well on a lovely Dresser the attention to detail and the level of comfort at this lovely B&B is AMAZING!!!! I have been staying in Whitby for over ten years at lots of different B&B’s & Hotels and this is THE BEST EVER! I cannot wait to go back xxxx

What a cosy place to stay in the most perfect location in the village. The owners Cameron and Caroline are so welcoming and friendly. All the rooms are beautifully decorated with each one having its own theme which makes you feel like you are staying somewhere unique and special. We stayed in the Tahiti room which was immaculately clean and had everything you needed such as wardrobe space, hairdryer, toiletries and tea/coffee. We were also offered water and fresh milk when we were shown to our room which came in a glass bottle and flask to reduce the use of single use plastic - loved this! Breakfast was delicious - the smoked salmon came from the smokehouse at the top of the hill which again adds a special touch. Great selection of cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit alongside the cooked options. We will be back!

The welcome was warm and very friendly. Great advice on the local area. The hosts have made the reception rooms quite special. A lot of thought has gone into the colour scheme, decor and space to create comfortable areas for guests to relax. A honesty bar, snacks and a sitting area where we played games were all appreciated. The bedroom was pleasantly presented in neutral colours. The tea tray was nicely stocked and the towels and bedding were beautifully clean and fluffy. We had a bath with plenty of hot water after a day on the beach. The bathroom was a little tired but it did everything it needed to do. The choice, service and presentation of the breakfast was brilliant. Beautiful fresh fruit, thick yogurt and cereal followed by a full choice of perfectly cooked English breakfast, meat or vegetarian, kippers or scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. All served on lovely quality pottery plates to give the perfect finishing touch. . All in all a really lovely couple of days, we would thoroughly recommend!

Perfect balance of maintaining the character of this historical building, with modern comfort and quality. Cameron was incredibly friendly and accommodating. So many little touches that took it above and beyond: Fresh hedgerow greenery on the brekky tables; the BEST cooked breakfast we have ever had; the toast being thick farmhouse bloomer (not the usual cheap thin stuff); The Endeavour labelled toiletries that smelled incredible and natural; Bath salts; efficient water heating system which allowed for hot baths and showers; Cameron accommodated my husband having his brekky made into a bacon butty and wrapped to take away. Very comfortable and clean rooms and bedding with lovely simplicity of quality wool and linen. All of these aspects made for an incredible relaxing and faultless stay which I don’t think I’ve ever had!

A really lovely place. Right in the heart of Staithes so the location is perfect. We stayed in the Whitby room. It was clean and nicely decorated and had a comfortable bed. There were lovely touches such as a cafetiere in the room to make a proper coffee. I also liked the efforts to get rid of single use plastic. The owners were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely return!

Fantastic place to stay right in the middle of the village tastefully decorated in contemporary colours,Cameron came to meet us at check-in and explained everything needed to know and very friendly. Our room Taihiti was a good size,large comfortable bed,good storage and side cupboard, tea/coffee facilities and biscuits, plenty of fresh milk and water that can be collected from fridge downstairs plus free nibbles if needed,hot powerful shower with excellent toiletries. Breakfast is excellent. I had full English 1st morning, and it was beautiful, with quality produce,and kippers from local smokehouse on toast and poached egg cooked to perfection,usual cereals and fresh coffee and tea.Hosts Cameron and Caroline are excellent and highly recommend staying an Endeavour guest house.

The location of the hotel is breathtaking. It is set in a farm location with farm animals for the children to see with an amazing playground for them to play in, perfect for families as very few hotels have such activities. My son was even fortunate enough to help feed a goat! The rooms are exceptional. Very tastefully decorated and a very good size. My son had a sofa bed which was very comfortable and good quality. The views from room 14 were lovely, my son could see the goats and play area with the backdrop of the hilly countryside. The lounge/bar area was comfortable and homely and decorated in a way which was luxurious and suited the building and location. Drinks were reasonably priced and the bar had snacks. While we did not dine in the restaurant on the evening but we did have a cooked breakfast in the morning, made with quality ingredients and very generous portions. The continental section was good and the croissants appeared to be freshly made as they were so soft and tasty. The staff were all helpful and seemed to genuinely care about their customers. There is a very large car park located near the hotel.

The location was what we expected and we had the added bonus of newly born lambs & little piglets to view in the small holding next door. My breakfast of smoked haddock with a poached egg was absolutely delicious & the cooked breakfast was also very well presented & tasty. It was very good value for money considering you can also help yourself to cereal, fresh fruit, fruit juice & also pastries to finish with unlimited tea and coffee. We did not have dinner. The hotel is beautifully decorated with very friendly helpful & attentive staff. We had a very enjoyable stay.

I was very impressed with the accommodation. My room (no. 7) was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Having an additional separate door to the outside was great, as I was out late and then up very early in the morning. The staff were friendly and the library/dining room where I had dinner and breakfast were very comfortable and smart, with great views over the rolling hills. Dinner was a mouth-watering sirloin cooked to perfection and nicely presented. This is far better than any gastro-pub i've been to Breakfast (cooked full English) was very tasty too. They clearly used top-quality produce (I didn't ask if it was local reared but it felt that is was, rather than cheap stuff you get in many places). Lovely thick bacon and tasty sausage. The chefs that take pride in the food that the cook and present.

Tremendous location in a quiet and beautiful part of the National Park with a gorgeous view from our room. Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer and explore the area. Very modern, clean and well equipped rooms. Bar and restaurant very relaxing with marvellous service and good food. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Everything! Our welcome was perfect, friendly and helpful, our room, just what we wanted and the meal in the restaurant was delicious. Staff are so friendly and breakfast was spot on! The opening hours have changed since our last stay but don’t be put off that they don’t serve lunch, drive ten minutes and eat at the Falcon their sister location if you are staying a few days. The food is fabulous and Keith (who was mentioned when we raved about the food) does an amazing job across both sites of keeping the food to a high standard. You don’t need a huge menu to enjoy good food, the selection with specials is just what you need! We’ll be returning again soon, thank you!

We liked how cosy and clean the hotel is. We had a fantastic relaxing weekend, breakfast was superb, we even had prosecco with breakfast. We did a 3 hour walk around the area during our stay, lots of great walks close to the hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, with bath and shower, lovely complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee making facilities, and bottled water. We would definitely return to the Mallyon Spout.

Overall the hotel was excellent, from the staff who are so friendly and helpful The room was amazing, with furniture that suited the hotel, if modern it would not have fitted in to the age of the hotel, there was fresh milk in the fridge, which was a very nice touch. Breakfast was wonderful, we had dinner on our first night, and Sunday whoever was the chef, Thank you , as your cooking is or even better than any London hotels or restaurants Parking unfortunately is a free for all, as walkers do park outside, use the café next to the hotel. Good walking area, so pack your walking shoes and enjoy the freedom Went to Whitby on the train, which was great, as we returned by a steam train, simply amazing to have the experience

Location was fantastic for easy access to various hiking trails. The hotel had a cosy feel and fantastic historic features. The grounds are beautiful and was lovely to hear wildlife in the morning. The staff are attentive and friendly. Food was great with various options available for breakfast/lunch and dinner. The general areas were clean and tidy and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable.

The location was perfect to explore the local area, ideal to pop into Whitby, but far enough away to relax and unwind in this tranquil village. The NYMR stations are close by if you fancy a bit of train spotting. The hotel is beautifully decorated, modern but sympathetically done for the period of the property. The bedroom was clean and spacious, tea/coffee facilities were replenished daily as was the homemade shortbread!!!! Toiletries were provided. During our stay there was a problem with the gas supply so the menu was reduced to accommodate the problem. The meal we had was delicious and the staff were sincerely apologetic for for reduced menu. But this wasn’t a problem as there was plenty of choice. Breakfast was delightful and plentiful, served in the light and airy dining room. On the second morning of our stay I wanted Whitby Kippers but due to the gas issue I was told they were off the menu. The server obviously saw I was disappointed and came back to tell me that a member of staff had popped home to cook them for me. The staff went above and beyond to make our staff a memorable one and we can’t wait to return.

We were very impressed with the hotel. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. There were lovely views over the gardens and across the North York Moors. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the choice for breakfast was very good. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It was my wifes birthday and they had left chocolate coated strawberries in the room on arrival. What a lovely surprise. The area is very pretty. We enjoyed a walk to the Mallyan Spout Waterfall and to Beckhole. Wonderful views all around.

The location was brilliant, as it’s not like Whitby town centre where it’s busy all night but has some amazing little bars in the area. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating with our little one, the views were amazing as well from the balcony room. I was not expecting the food in the bar section to be as good as it was, well done to the staff for such amazing meals. The room was sufficiently set up nicely with a coffee maker and plenty of nice coffee and tea bags. Especially liked the Whitby gin and tonic added in. The Bath room is supplied with Elamis cleaning products and bath robes if needed in the cupboard. A Dyson hair dryer for my partner as well was very good. Pillows and bed was comfortable and very warm in the room with a balcony view for night time and in the morning.

We stayed in room 9, it was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We had drinks and a delicious meal in the restaurant which has a lovely sea view. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty with a great choice. Parking at the hotel was easy. All the staff were polite and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Our sea view room was spacious and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant on two of the three nights and the choice and quality of food was exceptional. Every member of staff that we met was very helpful and friendly. The location is superb being just a 10 minute walk down to the centre of Robin Hoods Bay and the beach.

Lovely big room with massive bathroom. Roll top bath as well as a walk in shower! Think we were ugraded to a family room that had an extra room with twin beds! All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Faultless in fact. We went with 2 friends and ate in the conservatory area with stunning views. Food was excellent .was able to choose the bar menu or the a la carte. Prices good too. Superb breakfast too. Good selections of beers in bar. Free parking to rear of hotel. We had a superb stay overall. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making this such an enjoyable short break.

Amazing stay! Complimentary gin and tonic and biscuits in the room. Lovely touch! A very warm and cosy room with lovely cushions and a blanket. Excellent Shower and bathroom with great products to use. Staff were excellent. All very friendly, polite and helpful. Best hot chocolate. Lovely views from the restaurant. Fabulous B&B, lovely hosts, brilliant location in a quiet area but within walkable distance to Whitby town centre and the beach. We stayed in the top floor Sea Biscuit room which was spotless and well maintained. You could even glimpse the Abbey and sea from the window. Excellent shower wet room. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Mini fridge with complimentary bottles of water, milk and chocolates. Coffee pod machine as well as kettle and choice of teas. Fantastic range of choices for a hot breakfast. We had the full cooked option with the best sausage, bacon and black pudding we’ve ever had, that kept us full until dinner time! Tasty fresh fruit and danish pastries as well as cereals. Beautifully decorated and spotless throughout. Thank you Anita and Robert for a wonderful stay, we will certainly recommend your fabulous B & B Abbotsleigh to all our family and friends.

Our room was absolutely beautiful,spotless,and decorated in style. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom really modern and again spotless. Facilities in the room,were so well thought out and considerate for anyone staying here. Little fridge with complimentary milk and water. Coffee pod machine,biscuits and chocolates. The breakfast room was such a lovely haven to eat in every morning,charming to a tea( no pun intened)it really was. The best thing was the breakfast menu. Mind blowing cooked meal choices and always fresh fruit,yoghurt,pastries etc if you want a lighter breakfast instead. This was a most impressive guesthouse. It is approximately 10 minutes walk into the centre of Whitby. The room was on the top floor with lots of space and an ensuite bathroom. We had a mini fridge with complimentary bottles of water and we were given fresh milk for tea or coffee in our room, along with complimentary chocolates and biscuits. Apart from the kettle, it has a real coffee maker. The bed was so comfortable! The breakfast consisted of the usual continental with various fresh fruits, yoghurts and compote. The cooked breakfast was exceptional, as you would expect from a qualified chef! Both hosts were friendly and made us feel comfortable. Parking spaces are provided. We would highly recommend this guesthouse.

Everything was perfect room lovely n clean lovely clean fresh towels, shower was amazing, even had left a stick of rock on each pillow and cookies, plenty of tea,coffee, milk and sugars, The shampoo conditioner and shower gel is absolutely beutiful, Also perfect location.

The room felt like an old cosy cottage with its small lattice windows and low ceiling. It was spotlessly clean and the decor was fresh and contemporary. It was so quiet and perfect.The hotel is on the quieter, less tacky side of the harbour and still near the beach I could hear some conversation outside the window but otherwise it was really peaceful. I liked the location because its a stone's throw from the monastery and the narrow cobbled street with the cafes and shops and if you get tired it's not far at all to get back. There are lots of cafes very close - plenty of options for breakfast. Teas and cookies etc in the room with plenty of those little milk cartons if you like your tea milky. Bottled spring water would've been a bonus. I actually really loved the soaps and hand lotion, I think it was black pepper and geranium?, it smelt lovely. I also liked little touches like the plant.

We stayed in the Old Chocolate Shop for the Goth Weekend. The property was spotlessly clean with almost everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Coffee/tea and milk sachets were provided. The location is absolutely fantastic, walking distance to the 199 Steps, train/bus station, village centre and Pier, shops and restaurants etc, and a few mins walk to a car park. Lots of great little shops and cafes on the doorstep. Check in/out very straightforward. Comfortable beds, lovely shower/bath (two bathrooms very convenient for a family) kitchen was clean and well equipped. I would definitely book here again!

Great place to stay in Whitby you can walk everywhere but it’s so quiet and peaceful in the room. The shower and bathroom was just fab loved the tiles and shower. Downstairs at the back of sanders yard there’s a lovely cafe/restaurant had a tasty breakfast in there. Will be back!

Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Very clean in all areas, well decorated and maintained. Nice and warm on a very cold NYE! The room was excellent; spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Loads of storage and a very comfy bed. We ate breakfast and dinner there for two days. Breakfast was served at the table and was the best we've had (in any hotel) in a long time! There was plenty of choice for dinner and the food was freshly cooked and excellent.

This is our second year staying here and it doesn't disappoint.The rooms are amazing, modern and clean. The staff are very friendly, The bar man especially. Breakfast is extremely good. The full English is especially good. We had a meal in the restaurant and was served very promptly and by friendly staff. Would definatly recommend the sea bass and the steak pie. Parking is good and it is in a lovely quiet village. Easy access to scarborough.

The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and all the amenities needed. Breakfast was delicious and staff were welcoming friendly and helpful. Ideal location for beach and country walks. Would definitely stay again.

Hosts could not have been any more friendly and helpful. Room & towels etc were clean. Dinner and breakfast was good and fairly priced. Parts of the room are starting to show their age but Notting that put me off. I would definitely use again. Thanks for a comfortable and convenient stay.
