Absolutely stunning location right in the middle of the buzzing street of bars and restaurants. The bar was clean and fresh. A great menu of food and drinks. The staff were super friendly welcoming and helpful. Our room was beautiful and so clean and fresh. Absolutely spotless with everything you need. All toiletries included as well as complementary tea/coffee and water. Fridge was very welcome on this hot summer day. Breakfast was unreal with a huge selection of both cold continental and hot buffet.

We stayed here in July & were greeted by a very pleasant member of staff, asked if we needed assistance with anything, shown to our room with the sleeping area being on the cosy side, but lots of nice personal touches, tv, tea/coffee facilities , milk, drinks in the fridge, it was a boiling hot day so appreciated the refreshments, bathroom was huge, again with some lovely little toiletries, shower/grouting could probably be looked at, spots of mould in the shower, very noisy outside in the early hours as lots of pubs/clubs in the vicinity but I don't sleep well so actually didn't affect me, bar & restaurant was very busy, lots of pre cruisers in, wine was very expensive, lots of other wine/cocktail bars literally door to door so we ventured off to enjoy cocktail elsewhere in the sun, breakfast was included in the price, help yourself table, then order your cooked, had an exceptionally long wait for cooked breakfast, nearly gave up at one point, don't think it was helped by the same lady sending hers back 3x cz she didn't like the way her eggs were cooked, it was a busy morning & when we did get it , was tasty , we enjoyed it, the lad on reception very kindly ordered a taxi for us as we struggled to get one ourselves

Very nice clean room with all the amenities needed hair drier ironing board and iron tea coffee making facilities, complimentary milk, chocolate's, water sparkling and still, bottle of bitter. Big fluffy towels great shower. Comfortable bed proper cotton sheets, with great pillows.. We had dinner which very nice great service and pipping hot food, delicious.. Breakfast was Amazing all you could eat with buffet food continental or full English with a great verity of hot breakfasts.. service with a smile great staff through out the stay very helpful..

Staff were so lovely, attentive and gave a warm welcome on arrival. Nothing too much trouble. Our room was beautiful with quality furnishings. Bed was super comfy with lovely bedding. Total blackout curtains with a roller blind also. Lots of complimentary items from bottled water in fridge to chocolates, quality coffee pods/tea, soaps, lotions etc. Had a safe in room which was a bonus. Quiet mini fridge in the wardrobe too. We were on the second floor.... There's lots of steep stairs.... 4 flights to get to second floor. There is a really nice seating are on the first floor landing. Key card entry system into the guest stairway which felt very secure and private. The Tavern has plenty of comfortable seating. Great selection of drinks. Excellent, cheery staff. Seated, table service dining area or bar area meals. Security staff were lovely too. Had 3 course meal in the dining area, lovely quality of food, very tasty. The continental breakfast selection is superb. Good selection of cooked breakfast. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.

This was one of the best places we stayed in a long time. All, really all was perfect. First of all, this tavern and hotel hosted some of the guests from the famous Titanic, and the premises are as beautiful now as they must have been, back then. Very well renovated and the upkeep is great. Nicely decorated rooms with complementary water for your enjoyment. We loved the little details to make sure the guests have everthing they might need in their rooms. Coffee, Tea, treats.There is no lift and the building is very vintage, but the staff is nice enough to help the guests with luggage. We ate at their tavern and the food was very, very good. So was the service. Great chef, all is very tasty. And, get excited about an amazing breakfast. A beautiful buffet and hot fresh prepared dishes to order from. Location is convenient short walk to the town shopping. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was marvelous! Joe in reception gave us a warm greeting, explained everything, and pointed out things to see around the old town. We arrived early but were able to get in the room. The room was a bit small and very basic, almost stark, due to its age and simple style of furniture. (That was part of the charm). However, the room and bathroom were clean, the beds and pillows were quite comfortable, and the amenities in the room were enjoyable. Several types of teas and coffees were offered in the room, which was a welcome treat. Our room was quiet, and we had a view of the old city wall right outside the window. Breakfast was great, with several made-to-order selections ( not a buffet). We ate dinner at the Ennio’s restaurant that evening and the food was delicious! The location of the hotel was excellent. We ended up taking a taxi to the cruise terminal because it was raining. It is walkable, but a bit too long with luggage.

We booked a night here as we were going to the Southampton Boat Show since it’s reicht next to the harbour. The hotel is superb, modern and clean and the bed very comfortable and everywhere was spotless. There are tea/coffee facilities in the room. The wall mounted TV had all the channels and had a clear picture. The breakfast was one of the best we have had, all made with care by the chef, poached eggs perfectly cooked and my husband had the full English breakfast which he enjoyed, along with fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, coffee and juice. Staff are also very friendly too. Parking is limited to 5 cars at the rear of the hotel on a first-come-first-served basis but we were lucky to secure a space. We would recommend this hotel to others and would have no hesitation staying there again in the future.

The hotel is exceptional. It is a 2-story hotel with 10-12 rooms total. Each room has it's own theme and the hotel is small enough to be perfect and charming. While historic on the outside, it is renovated on the inside. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was large, with seating, desk, armoire and a comfortable bed. The downstairs includes a bar/seating area and a full service restaurant. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was terrific both times. The hotel offers easy walk access to shops and stores. The location is perfect for a short walk (even with suitcases) to most of the cruise line terminals (about 7-10 minutes).

Our room Fortuna was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, with a lovely sunny aspect towards the Ferry. Pre-dinner drinks in the Bar were lovely, and our Dinner on both The Friday and Saturday nights was excellent. Beautiful fresh produce, cooked to perfection. Breakfast was exemplary - with a wonderful choice, both hot and cold, and a great cup of coffee! Joe looked after us beautifully on all 3 mornings, and all other Staff members were friendly, polite and very helpful. We will definitely be returning! Thanks to you ALL.

We enjoyed are stay at Ennios Hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had the room at the top of the staircase and I was a little afraid it might be noisy, but it was quiet and we had no issues with noise. There is a mini fridge in the room which was a nice surprise. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel because it was a little pricey for our budget. We did have breakfast there the next morning and it was delicious! The serving size was large and it was by far the best breakfast we had during our 3 week stay in the British Isles. We stayed at Ennios for one night before leaving on a cruise. The cruise terminal was close but we opted for a taxi because it would have been a difficult walk with all of our luggage. One last note. The hotels rooms are on the second floor and there is not an elevator. We did not have a problem bringing our luggage up or down. I’m sure though if we needed assistance one of the employees would have helped. If we ever go back to Southampton we would happily stay at Ennios again!

This is a fabulous place, steeped in history with hundreds of memorabilia adorning the pub rooms with a real fire in the main bar. The location is perfect - a stone’s throw from the cathedral & the car park was a bonus. The staff are amazing - so smiling, friendly & welcoming. Special mention to Natalie, Esme & Lowri (sorry if spelling incorrect!) and in fact all of the staff! We were upgraded to the Kelsey room, which is actually across the road, & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, especially that roll-top bath! The room was very spacious, clean and a large walk-in shower in the bathroom too. The bed was also large & comfortable. Complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee, chocolates and a free minibar fridge (water, milk & a bottle of London Pride.) Breakfast was simply delicious with a wide choice available. We also ate dinner here a couple of times and the food was great - my husband declared the beer-battered fish the best he’d tasted! Esme, our waitress was attentive, efficient & friendly. This place is simply delightful & we shall definitely return when we next visit beautiful Winchester. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable.

We have visited this property a couple of times before booking a long weekend stay. I can not speak highly enough of the staff and the food! The room was clean and comfortable, the tiniest issue I had (it’s really small!) is that the bathroom door could not be closed and the fridge in the room would cone on periodically (which for a light sleeper can be a bit of an issue). However, these are really small things. The bed is comfortable and the room itself is just wonderfully cozy! Breakfast was part of the booking- and it’s worth it! The buffet selection is already pretty good, but the hot breakfast from the kitchen is amazing! (The food in general is worth the short walk out from the city centre). The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment of checking in until we checked out. Just a wonderful stay! Thank you to everyone who works there!

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in and were allowed to check in early, as our room was ready. Our room was great - very clean and modern but still with the character of a pub inn. The bed was amazing - we had a great night's sleep! The breakfast was delicious. There was a small continental buffet as well as a la carte breakfast options. The pub itself is gorgeous - amazing ambience and decor, and we loved how they repurposed old school desks. It's a shame we stayed only for one night!

Wonderful Staff, warm welcome, friendly and professional. Tasteful quality and decor in spacious quiet well fitted room. Clean very comfortable bed and pillows. Bath and Shower available, fluffy white towels and ample lovely Bramleys soaps etc provided. Great coffee and fresh milk.

Brilliant place! My room, called Post Box, was on first floor in the building opposite the pub, with views to the pub and up Canon Street from a comfy chair. So quiet, so cosy, so luxurious! All very spacious, even an extra chamber with desk. Best shower ever. Breakfasts in the famous pub were delicious à la carte. Lots of history and beauty here, right on your doorstep. I stayed 5 nights, but wish it were 50.

Had lunch in the hotel restaurant always a pleasure to return there for a meal the restaurant is very clean and a lovely quiet restaurant to enjoy meal cannot thank the wonderful staff for their friendly service when taking food orders and serving the food lovely that one is not rushed when looking at menu before ordering the meal husband had fillet of cod and I had fish and chips both meals were done to perfection also must say the lady at reception was also very helpful and very friendly even let my husband view accomodation which I do believe was lovely upon entry noticed how clean all areas were especially toilets we will definitely be returning thank you everyone for your friendly service.

The hotel is gorgeous. Steeped in history and beautifully decorated right in the centre of Romsey. The service is excellent and staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are stunning with lots of extra detail and well thought out extras. I loved the pillow spray and games. The beds were very comfortable and I slept very well. The pillows were so comfy I had to see who made them so I could get some. I had breakfast which was lovely. Great coffee and fresh pastries etc. breakfast was fresh and cooked to order. The atmosphere is wonderful and there are many places to sit and relax inside and out. I felt the rooms were excellent value for money. If you can afford to splurge have one of the suites. It was £10 more and the most amazing rooms. The bed was huge and the bathroom amazing. I stayed in both a superior room and suite and loved them both

We liked everything about our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room, though small, was very comfortable and clean, ideal for a short stay. Breakfast was superb, faultless and served beautifully. The decor and design is traditional and very welcoming, right in the heart of Romsey, which is a lovely little bustling town, with everything you need within walking distance. The highlight of our stay was dinner in the hotel restaurant. The three course meal we ate was probably the finest we have ever had in a restaurant ever. - absolutely delicious. We've certainly never had better, and we are real foodies. I would thoroughly recommended the White Horse Hotel.

Amazing Stay at The White Horse – Can’t Recommend Enough! We had an amazing one-night stay at The White Horse in Romsey. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the attention to detail. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were outstanding—so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel right at home. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We brought our little dog with us and were so impressed by how dog-friendly the hotel was. He was completely spoiled with treats and even got a sausage for breakfast! Romsey itself is a lovely town with a great selection of individually owned shops—perfect for a leisurely browse. We will definitely be returning and honestly can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience. A real gem!

Everyone is so friendly at the hotel, Nina and Susannah were extremely helpful when we were enjoying our meals in the restaurant. Heather made a huge difference with organizing our comfortable accommodation. The food was very enjoyable and again everyone who works at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, lovely bedding and amazing pillows and great facilities too. Thanks Heather and the team for making our special time with family a beautiful memory.

This is a stunning property in a beautiful location on the Western bank of the River Test surrounded by trout streams and rivers that cross and interlink through the village. The rooms are finely furnished and have real character. Facilities were ample and comfortable. The bar and restaurant are welcoming and very popular at lunchtimes and in the evenings with an impressive menu. The cooked breakfast was very good. The staff that I dealt with were friendly and helpful.

Great for a couple of days break, nice quiet village but walking distance to Stockbridge. Good bathroom, small touches were appreciated like fridge and coffee pot and the fact they had reserved a table for us for dinner. We had the continental breakfast which was perfect but you can have hot items as an extra is required. We ate in the restaurant and had a really lovely meal and good service. No mention though about our breakfast on check in and it also didn't state the times in the room either.

Absolutely beautiful country pub, and a stunning luxurious room with a freestanding bath and a four poster bed. Extremely comfortable and lots of lovely touches like great coffee and delicious biscuits. We very much enjoyed dinner in the pub and breakfast the next morning too - the food was exceptional, as was the ambiance. We will be back.

The room was very tastefully decorated, with character, but also well designed, comfortable and clean, with good quality materials. The bathroom looked lovely, clean with attractive tiles and had a good number of shelves and hooks, with good toiletries. Though we were on the roadside, and windows were old and single glazed, it was quiet with very few vehicles using the road late or early. A fridge with fresh milk was a bonus, along with the radio. The food, both for the evening meal and breakfast was of a very good standard, and staff were efficient and friendly. Parking was easy when we visited. The village itself was very quaint.

Room was cosy, clean and comfortable. Good sized bed and room for our sons travel cot. Great facilities - loved the good amount of options of streaming services to watch on tv (especially for our young child). Price very reasonable for quality. Lovely cosy pub with great food and welcoming staff. Breakfast was delicious, coffee very good. Perfect location from Paultons Park.

Overall, generally very good and comfortable stay but the bedroom was a little on the warm side (even with the window open) and the wifi never really worked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening food was very good and the staff were very attentive to whether or not guests had any allergies. Breakfast was also good and well cooked but quite limited in there being no self-service continental option - you had to order this as your breakfast option from the menu. All in all, an enjoyable stay in a good location. Would recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

A really nice property with a buzzy bar and restaurant. The room was exceptional with a super comfy bed and good facilities. Nice that the large parking area was close to the rooms aswell for unloading. My room even had a small outside space with table and chairs. Restaurant menu was really good with some local dishes. Finally would like to say the girls running the restaurant were all very pleasant and attentive. Will be back

Has a very warm welcoming feel to it , beds were super comfortable , nicely decorated, rooms smelt fresh nd clean. The staff were very friendly. Room came with Breakfast to my surprise which was very tasty nd had a variety to please everyone. Will definitely recommend nd come back if in the area again .

Beautiful pub within garden with extensive seating . Friendly welcome and our room was overlooking garden and very clean and well appointed . Good shower. In the the room we had complimentary tea and coffee pods for Nespresso machine . In the fridge there was milk and a small bottle of gin and tonic water too .We had cocktails in the bar before dinner which were excellent then a delicious evening meal. The most succulent trout I’ve ever eaten after delicious scallops to start with . Breakfast again had a good choice of cooked breakfasts and fresh fruits and breads too . Perfect . Would definitely stay again when in the area .

From parking and entering reception it felt cosy and easy. Rooms were ready earlier than expected so big bonus as travelled with 9month old needing to rest quickly! Room was was and clean and smelt lovely. Stairs there so no left pram in the car. Good tea/coffee options and milk in the fridge. Kettle clean, tv good, wifi good, shower and bathroom very clean, bed clean and choice of pillows, usb ports in room too! Had dinner there and decent price but the food itself was divine! Also booked breakfast and very happy with taste and presentation and choice of juices, fruit and cold options too. Baby high chair comfy and sturdy for baby. Would return, lovely stay! Oh and easy checkout too!

The staff were friendly, welcoming and obliging. Our room was very comfortable and relatively peaceful. We had requested a view and were able to look out at the garden and hear the water from the brook nearby. We appreciated the attention to detail such as the fresh milk and bottled water in the mini fridge and the complimentary gin and tonic as well as the range of artisan teas, coffees and biscuits. The towels were of very good quality and, although the toiletries were fixed to the bathroom fittings, nonetheless they were excellent and wonderfully fragranced. Breakfast was most enjoyable with a very good choice available and we appreciated the fact that the staff had spaced out the seating arrangements so we were able to enjoy a leisurely, quiet and peaceful breakfast.

Primarily it was a perfect location to stay walking the test way. However, everything else was perfect too. Exceptional staff, very friendly & nothing too much trouble. Even the chef sought us out after dinner to ask if we enjoyed the meal. Scallops & Lamb - fantastic! The room was clean & very comfortable. Classy extras like an array of tea pigs , fresh local milk & boutique shortbread. A lovely powerful shower.

Stayed at Room2 on a Friday evening. The location is perfect in the centre of Southampton restaurants, bars, shopping a few steps from the Hometel. The entrance and bar is welcoming with stylish modern seating and dining area. There was live music which was very good. Everyone was enjoying the chilled atmosphere. Staff were happy friendly and efficient serving drinks and waiting on tables. Our room 102 was bright spacious and I loved the colourful design of furnishing. Fabulous views from the large windows overlooking the park. Fully equipped kitchen, dining area. Super comfortable bed fresh pristine sheets and towels. Modern bathroom clean and bright. Restful night and woke up feeling refreshed. The breakfast was delicious and great coffee. Would certainly recommend Room2 and will come back again. Thanks to staff Grace, Rio, Reece and Tammy 🥰🥂

One of the best stays we have ever had! Beyond the convenient and connected location, the amazing staff, great decor and sustainability efforts, it was the overall experience gilded in thoughtful details that made this place so special. Our stay began with a wonderfully warm and friendly but also efficient greeting and check-in with Fernando, thank you! Our loft room was brilliant, better than we expected with a gorgeous bathroom, loft space for our son (that he loved), and a kitchenette and dining table, but still leaving us with lots of space to move around. Breakfast was excellent, made better only by an awesome group of servers. They were so friendly, and genuinely so - not because they had to be...while maintaining professionalism and getting things done for all the guests, we were able to thoroughly enjoy chit-chat with them. The ambiance created by the beautiful personalities of Grace, Shen and Talia made for a beautiful start to our day. From the healthy beautiful green plants everywhere, to the spotless windows that made you feel like you were enjoying breakfast outside at the park just across the street, the lovely tunes and warm and welcoming decor, I cannot recommend Room2 Southampton enough.

This was my first stay in this amazing hotel which has lots of wonderful homely touches to add to the comfort of your stay. I especially appreciated finding an empty little milk bottle you could take to the bar to be filled with fresh milk. The beds are super comfy and the quiet atmosphere allows for a great nights sleep. The food served at breakfast was excellent. The children really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements and played happily in their bed area though the day. The staff were helpful and attentive.

Yes, Tripadvisor, we did go again! And again we were not disappointed. We were extremely lucky with the weather so we were fortunate in that we could sit outside The Old Vine Inn on the front 'terrace' and be plied with drinks and food in the sunshine, watching the world go by. It is in a perfect location, right buy the main square in from of the Cathedral and the museum, with lots of people coming and going and a huge amount choosing to come to The Old Vine for sustenance! The accommodation is second to none, beautiful bedrooms, well appointed, withy a well-stocked fridge with fresh milk, soft drinks etc. and a posh proper coffee machine that we didn't use! The bathroom was superb with a shower that doesn't need a degree to use, and that makes a change with so many hotels with complicate shower systems! The staff are young, enthusiastic and attentive and the restaurant is well managed with jolly good 'bistro style' food and lots of local Hampshire delicacies. Can't fault this really old and historic Inn with its modern luxury. It makes for a perfect break in the, the ancient capital of England. Five stars all round

The room was spotless, the coffee station was fantastic and including the fresh cream/milk in fridge was so appreciated. I'm was able to catch that first morning coffee immediately, exactly how I wanted it prepared and then ready to start my day. The bath was so modern and all plumbing worked. I point out these things because I have found these items to be "spotty" in other places I've stayed. The attention to all the details in the room made the stay really comfortable for us. Next: the breakfast was the best I have on any travels! I've never had porridge and found the OV preparation much surpassed any oatmeal I've had in past. Loved all the options to add to the scrambled eggs and the fresh just (no sugar added!) was sublime. Finally the Team working at the OV were amazing and answered all my questions around trains, taxis and buses to the various places I wanted to visit. Their attitude was so friendly and helpful starting with Ashton answering my many questions prior to the stay as well as during the stay. I have never sent such an extensive review but felt this one was well deserved.

The Old Vine is really a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. It is very comfortable and ‘old world’. Perfectly located by Winchester Cathedral and very adjacent to town centre. Our room was excellent, very clean and warm. Small things like fresh milk and coffee pods add to the comfort level. Food is very good, freshly cooked and bistro cuisine. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Bar area has a nice ambience good selection of real ales, lagers and wines. Bar also serves a variety of Cocktails my wife was very complimentary on her cocktail choice. One small point if you are travelling by car is Parking! Very restrictive as Winchester in Dec is very busy so be aware. Would have no hesitation in staying at The Old Vine in the future

The Old Vine stands on a narrow traffic-free street on the other side of the spacious green with mature trees in front of Winchester Cathedral. It is only a few paces from the pedestrian-only High Street, which is exceptionally well-endowed with restaurants, cafes and shops. Our room on the first floor was large and well-furnished with a spacious bathroom en suite. Staff members were always friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant/bar served a generous breakfast of varied choices and very good quality meals in the evening and throughout the day. It was an exceptional place to stay in an equally exceptional location.

The room was lovely ... a really comfortable night. Nespresso machine, fridge, complimentary toilettries, bottled water, gowns and slippers..lovely big shower cubicle, nice furniture . Breakfast was divine and with the added touch of being able to have breakfast in your room without an additional charge just topped it off .. thank you! I wish many other hotels would follow suit, it just added to that relaxing experience without having to get up unnecessarily early and go to a dining room to eat especially as the breakfast was so good. The evening meal in the restaurant had good options and was also very good quality.. obviously a very busy and popular venue with the locals. Location v good - near to Cathedral and town centre. Quirky and great atmosphere. Staff were helpful and attentive despite them being really busy.

Lovely, clean room, nice view feom balcony, located in a peaceful area but very accessible. Access to pool and jacuzzi. Very nice staff, everyone very helpful, fantastic very tasty breakfast.

Great night away for wife’s birthday. Gave a free upgrade to deluxe room. Very comfortable bed, made use of the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Bar on top floor is excellent with an incredible view. Duck fries are very special!

Everything first class. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Appreciated our luggage being taken to and from our room. Standard room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed using the coffee machine and appreciated the excellent breakfast tea and china teapot. Lovely biscuits and complimentary gin too. Also liked the chocolates and handwritten postcard for my husband's birthday, a nice gesture. Made full use of the spa facilities the following morning namely the pool, jacuzzi and relaxation room. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Our stay at the Harbour Hotel in Southampton was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped into the stunning, yacht-inspired lobby, I felt enveloped in an atmosphere of sophistication and relaxation. The location is unbeatable, right on the waterfront with breathtaking views of the marina. Waking up to the sight of glistening waters and boats gently bobbing was a highlight. The rooms were a perfect blend of modern luxury and nautical charm. The attention to detail was impeccable—plush bedding, stylish decor, and thoughtful touches like binoculars to take in the views and complimentary gin waiting our arrival in the room. The dining experience was a culinary delight. The Jetty Restaurant offered an exquisite menu featuring fresh, locally sourced seafood, complemented by an extensive wine list. Every dish was artfully presented and bursting with flavor. The spa and wellness facilities are a haven of tranquility, offering a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. The Harbour Hotel is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a special occasion, or simply to indulge in luxury, this hotel will exceed all expectations.

I had such a lovely stay at the Harbour Hotel. The girls at reception were so nice really kind and helpful. They made me feel welcome right away and even offered to upgrade my room for my one-night stay, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The room was beautiful — bright, cozy, and spotless, and the balcony was pure peace. The sofa on the balcony were super comfortable, and I got to enjoy a stunning sunset over the harbour. The bed was absolute heaven, I honestly didn’t want to leave it in the morning! The breakfast was great too, with lovely harbour views, and the pool area is stunning — clean, modern. I left feeling relaxed, happy, and definitely will come back ✨

Fabulous location in a very quiet residential area. Literally 5 minute walk into the city centre. Pub is quirky , warm & welcoming. Our room was spacious , very comfortable beds & fabulously clean . We were treated to loads of tea/coffee , yoghurt, delicious granola, muffins & fruit for breakfast..perfect ! Shower was powerful & hot . Wifi good. Not a complaint but rooms now in need of a little TLC . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Very nice welcome when we arrived approx 1600 from a very helpful lady. Nice comfortable room and bed. Bedding and towels were nice quality too. Bathroom contained a walk in shower with power shower.Tasteful decoration all through. Whilst breakfast is not served at this pub there was fresh milk in the fridge in the room With that was muesli, yoghurts and fresh fruit which were not chargeable, crockery/cutlery provided too. Good tea and coffee making facilities with cookies supplied too. All in all nice touches. We stayed on a Sundaynight , Sunday Lunch was on offer up to 1730, there is also a menu for other food which looks very nice. The pub was snug and comfortable and we spent a nice Sunday evening there . This is a local pub for some but not overly busy. It is also child friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be booking again on our next trip to Winchester.

Excellent location, very close to town centre but also in a quiet residential area. Despite the rooms being above the very busy pub it really wasn’t noisy at all. Great shower, with very hot water and excellent water pressure, in fact best out of all the b&bs we’ve stayed in. Ground coffee and fresh milk provided, replenished every day, making a very pleasant change from the usual cheap sachets and long life cartons you usually get. The breakfast left in the room fridge of muffins, home made granola, yoghurt and fruit is a nice alternative to a fry up and we didn’t expect this as it clearly says when booking breakfast not included. Room service and towels changed daily. Free parking permit for the street outside which the pub let us use till 1pm the day we left despite having to check out by 10am. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff and the pub serves lovely food at fairly reasonable prices, they stock a good range of beers but beware the wine is very expensive, £12 for a medium Rioja for example. The Monday we arrived there was a quiz night which was great fun but this pub is always really busy so I’d say booking is essential if you want to eat there any night of your stay. I would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Winchester but would request a different room.

Lovely Victorian themed pub that offers dinner but not a cooked breakfast. There is a fridge in your room that has a wonderful homemade granola and a jug of milk. There is also a delicious homemade muffin, as thick creamy yoghurt and a satsuma. There are two bottles of spring water and tea and coffee making facilities. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is nice and powerful. There is a TV in the room also. You will be issued with a parking permit if you arrive by car so that you can park in the street. I would definitely stay here again and next time would make use of the restaurant.

Beautiful old atmospheric and friendly pub, with our own entrance to the accommodation, so we could come and go easily. Great welcome and a homely pub atmosphere with cosy chairs. The room was spacious and full of character, with old wooden furnishings, china cups and a comfy bed. Everything was clean, with a powerful shower in the bathroom. Fantastic arrangements for breakfast - homemade granola, muffins, yoghurt & tangerine in the room suited us perfectly. We’d love to come again!

Very happy with our stay overall. The car park is located across a fairly busy road but it wasn’t really a problem. Our historically themed room, named after French ships who fought at Trafalgar, was clean and fairly comfortable, although I found the mattress rather soft. Two pillows were supplied but neither offered much support and I felt these needed to be upgraded. Lovely large bedside tables with PowerPoints above great fit charging phones overnight and Plenty of space for books, glasses etc. Everything was clean with toiletries supplied in the en suite shower room. Tea and coffee as well as some home made biscuits were available. The room was peaceful, restful and quiet. My one slight gripe was that the lights were too low to use the dressing table to apply make up ( not a particular issue for me). Breakfast was very good indeed coffee, fruit juice and I had a freshly prepared fruit bowl followed by Eggs Benedict, my husband had the granola with freshly prepared fruit followed by a full English… all delicious. Overall I felt it was very good value for just under £90.

I had actually made a mistake and turned up a day early. Not a problem! We were given what I can only describe as an incredible room with a four poster bed, stunning furniture and a gorgeous bathroom complete with roll top bath. The tea and coffee offering in the room was nothing short or luxurious as were the delicious biscuits and chocolates. We enjoyed a delicious and reasonably priced meal outside on the terrace and had a comfortable and peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast choices all sounded so good, I was spoilt for choice, but in the end what I ordered was beautifully presented, plentiful and tasty. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area, and hope to return soon. Thanks to all the staff 🙌

Breakfast not to be missed, plenty of choice all delicious, the poached eggs were (in my opinion)perfect. Really comfortable bed, great nights sleep. The meals we had in bar and restaurant were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, the customers we met, were very welcoming and give advice on the area.

Lovely Sunday night stay at a charming Inn. The staff were very polite and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The room was a little hot but there was a Dyson fan which worked well. In the bedroom were Coffee and tea making facilities and an iron and ironing board. There was no wardrobe but there was a hanging rail ( definitely ok for an overnight stay). I took my own hairdryer and didn’t see one in the room. Plenty of plugs available and a large TV. The bed was comfortable and bedding and towels clean. The bathroom was more than adequate with a large shower and shampoo and body wash provided. Breakfast had a good continental selection and a choice of hot breakfasts. It was very tasty .. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate in coming back .

We liked everything about our Crown Inn stay. The room (2) was lovely, small but quaint and nicely furnished. Good sized bathroom with nice large shower and good power. Really comfortable bed. Dinner & breakfast were both excellent. My Valentine menu Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Nice atmosphere in the bar (live band). The staff were all really friendly and the management clearly know what they are doing, which seems to be rare these days. Chris, the manager that night and also served us breakfast. Top marks.
